Unbeatable location

100% of guests in the past year gave this location a 5-star rating.
We have been renovating an old 1950’s dairy barn since 2013. We fell in love with this location because the barn is set in a beautiful valley in the Appalachian Mountains. You have to drive through the creek to get to the barn.
We built this private Rustic Rooster Room on the creekside of the barn with its private entrance. The room is perfect for families to come enjoy the outdoors!

We also have 2 other Suites available:
Dream Rock Silo, sleeps 2
Creekside Bungalow, sleeps 4

The space
We have been renovating our barn and silo (ourselves) since 2013. We love the space we have created here. Outside, you can expect beautiful mountain scenery and a peaceful atmosphere, with a calming creek next to your suite. And the landscaping and creek rock walls are outstanding!
The Rustic Rooster Room has its own entrance. There is a large rustic looking bathroom with stand up shower. The living area has a sofa, comfy chair and a large TV and fireplace. There are 2 queen size Murphy beds and a queen size pull out sofa bed making it sleep up to 6 people.

Breakfast is not included, however, there is a screened- in full kitchen for you to use anytime. This is a shared space.
There is also a grill .

*****The outdoor kitchen is closed Nov-April due to weather conditions but there are restaurants in town.

***We also have 2 other Suites available:
Dream Rock Silo, sleeps 2
Creekside Bungalow, sleeps 4

Guest access
We have wonderful gardens and flowers! We encourage guests to wonder the property. We have 25-30 chickens in “The Coop-de Ville”.

Other things to note
Cell phone service can be spotty here as we are in the valley of the mountains. Most carriers do work. However there is wifi that works in proximity to the house.

We have 2 very friendly dogs. We have Maxwell House, and Joe ( German Shepherds) . We have 3 cats and they all absolutely love having guest.
Also a coop full of chickens. So Cute

There is a grocery store 10 minutes from us.

There is no A/C unit as the temperature is very mild. There is a heater and fans if needed.

If you are celebrating a special occasion , please let me know. I will be glad to help with special arrangements or surprises.

My work: Dream Rock Silo
Lives in Independence, Virginia
My husband, Bill and I have brought this barn and Silo back to life and have just had a blast creating it! I’ve done the interior design work on our barn... and the actual work(like painting, tile, etc.). In fact, my husband, son and I have done most of the work on our barn and I love showing it off. I love my chickens and in the summer, spend most of my time in my gardens or creating my rock walls. We enjoy our place so much and the only thing that makes it better is to share it with others. Please come join us in our little paradise!
