Our Paradise Lodge Airbnb listing helps to support a critically important, Not For Profit, 501c3 Veterans charity that serves disabled Veterans and Veterans alike. The moneys taken in by our Airbnb listing goes directly to helping offset the extreme financial burden of the high, yearly operations cost at "Healing For Heroes - A Disabled Veteran’s Retreat And Wooded Oasis Inc.501c3.” When we are not hosting Veterans on retreat or offering day programs, we sporadically open our Lodge to the public throughout the year as a critically needed source of funding (one of a very few sources we have) to support the charity and our mission to serve our Nations finest. By staying with us you’re in turn supporting a very worthy cause, something you can feel great about and our Veterans can surely benefit from.
We offer a very unique, peaceful and relaxing stay that’s unlike any other in our area! Our elegant Lodge features a newer, private, all season hot tub as well as a new infrared dry sauna (extra fee for sauna use). We have all high end, newer, furniture, beds, bedding and smart TVs throughout. The master suite features spectacular views of the woods and our plethora of wildlife. The suite also features a newer walk out patio and private deck, all season hot tub, and covered seating for 4. The second downstairs room is cozy, comfortable and also has fantastic views of our naturescape, woods and bird feeders. The upstairs "loft bedroom” features a beautifully relaxing space with a reading nook, its own dedicated work space and spectacular, elevated views of the woods, barn, bird feeders and naturescape area. Our great room featuring 25’ vaulted ceilings, skylights, a grand fireplace, loft, game room and balcony overlooking our forest, is a highlight of Paradise Lodge. Skylights above allow sunlight to pour into our fully equipped central kitchen. Step out of the kitchen and onto our grilling patio featuring a brand new, full size gas grill to satisfy your BBQ’ing needs as well as a new 8’ picnic table. Our stocked laundry room provides guests the free use of our new washer and dryer for their laundry needs. We also have a beautiful, new outside fire pit area featuring comfortable seating options and a brand new "fire globe” fire pit. It’s the perfect, relaxing area to come together and enjoy an evening fire under the stars and forest canopy. Paradise Lodge is secluded on nearly 30 beautiful, blissful acres of gorgeous hardwood forest while still remaining very close and accessible to all of the local attractions and activities. Guest access
Guests have full access to the Lodge, outdoor fire pit area and the entire property excluding the barn, motorhome and the immediate area around our motorhome where we reside much of the summer season. Please respect our small private area and we will of course respect your privacy as well. A privacy curtain has been installed to ensure our privacy as well as yours. Please note that most importantly this is a working Veterans charity and Monday through Friday we have staff and volunteers mostly working out on the property and in the barn area to maintain your privacy but at limited times there are building projects being worked on and maintenance going on such as lawn care around the main Lodge but never without proper notice to our guests and we will always coordinate our schedule to best accommodate our guests needs and schedules. No work will ever be done before 9:00 AM and after 5:00 PM while guests are here. Rest assured that we will fully respect your private space while you are staying with us. As stated above, during the summer months we do spend a significant amount of time on the property and we stay in our motorhome on an adjacent piece of the property which is our private space. We are also a "Harvest Host” property which also supports our Veterans charity so you may see an RV or 2 on a separate section of the property and if so rest assured that those guests/volunteers are limited to their specific spaces but can access the trails and woods as well. The entirety of the Lodge is yours and yours alone during the length of your stay and you have complete access to the nearly 30 acres as described! We keep to ourselves unless guests engage with us (always willing to chat, answer questions and help however and whenever we can) so you will always have complete privacy. To reiterate and for complete transparency, as described above this is a "working property" and Veterans charity Monday through Friday from 9AM - 5:00 PM and you can expect to see an extra couple of vehicles parked in our private parking, outdoor property maintenance being done such as lawn care and trimming, trail maintenance, building maintenance (cabins and barn) and general property sometimes around the immediate area of the Lodge. Absolutely NO loud outdoor work will be done on the property before 9am. Monday - Friday and weekends are typically off days. Rest assured that no staff, volunteers and/or owners will be anywhere around the immediate area of the Lodge (excluding the barn) during your stay unless there’s projects/maintenance going on that we’ve made prior notification about and coordinated our schedules with our guests specific to their needs.

Reach out and ask us about our other additional amenities that are offered such as our new infrared dry sauna, a spectacularly relaxing, spa like addition to the Lodge! We also have a golf cart for rent as well as a 2 seater go-kart for rent. We offer guided bird/nature walks by appointment. All proceeds from additional amenities goes directly towards supporting Veterans at Healing For Heroes.
