Find your relaxing coastal stay at Palm Haven House, where Victorian charm meets modern comfort – stay in our surfers' home for a spacious & stylish family stay.
Welcome to our lovingly restored home, owned by Maddi & Nick. Nick is a big wave surfer who has lived in the Newquay area since his teenage years. Throughout the property, you'll find a blend of classic character (original fireplace) with contemporary updates & surf-inspired décor, creating a cosy warm, laid-back and stylish family friendly stay.
Step through the original stained-glass feature door onto the stunning 1890 mosaic flooring, evoking period charm. The carpeted living and dining areas offer a cosy space to unwind, complete with a large working open fireplace and large TV. For family stays, there are children's toys and books on hand, and an array of board games for cosy nights in. The dining area features an extendable table for fuller stays.
The newly refurbished kitchen is bright, modern, and fully equipped with everything you need, including a premium Sage coffee machine for the perfect morning brew - and grinder so you can freshly enjoy local beans each day. A washing machine and dish washer features, and we have a Dry Soon heated clothing rail, as well as a clothes line in the back garden.
Upstairs, you'll find two spacious bedrooms:
- A large twin room, which can be arranged as three single beds upon request. The room has a 'Seascape' feature wall, by designer Abigail Edwards.
- A master King room, with bay window, vanity table and wardrobe space.
- A dedicated workspace with a desk and monitor ensures a productive stay as needed.
The large premium bathroom is designed for relaxation, featuring underfloor heating, a rain-style ceiling shower, a heated towel rail, and a Victorian-style bath - perfect for unwinding after a day at the beach. This is our favourite room in the house!
Outside, enjoy the large palm tree garden, complete with a private lawn that isn’t overlooked, deck chairs, and a small alfresco courtyard dining area. A back gate entrance provides easy access, and on-street parking is available right outside the house.
For convenience, there is a Coop & fuel station around the corner from the property, and the shops of Nansledan are a short walk, just across from the main road. We LOVE eateries Sabzi and Shiva. Church Street has The Farmer's Arms pub a 1 minute walk from the house; and a kids play park is also 1 minute walk from the house in the opposite direction. There are several walk ways available to Porth Beach, via residential roads or through the fields. A favourite for morning runs!
Whether you're here for a surf trip, family or friends holiday, as a couple, a work getaway, or simply to soak up the charm & coast path of Cornwall - our home offers the perfect mix of Victorian elegance and modern coastal living.
We're a 20 min walk from Porth beach & the house is a 15 min drive just off the A30. You can also walk to Whipsiderry beach (near Boardmasters Festival) in approx. 35-40 minutes.

The whole house is available for you to use. We have access via front garden to the front door, and a back door gate that enters onto our courtyard area and back garden. You will be given keys via the lock box at the front of the property.
