In search of the perfect family getaway to the Smokies? “Old Glory’s View” on Bear Mountain is a brand new cabin that offers all of the comfort and convenience you would expect to accommodate your sweet crew--and then some!! Aside from breathtaking MOUNTAIN VIEW sunrises/sets, Old Glory’s View has the amenities you need to find some true R&R while away from home! Fully stocked Kitchen, Jacuzzi, Fire Pit, Game/Movie Room: AirHockey table, BlackJack table, Cornhole, Giant Jenga & MOUNTAIN VIEWS!!!
The space
You must be 25 years old and photo ID is required at the time of booking. Booking party must be present at check-in.
You will be greeted with mountainous views as you step onto the porch at main level. As you enter, on the main level you will find the first full bathroom, King bedroom, open eat in kitchen and an expansive coffee bar that faces an open seating in front of the electric fireplace and smart Tv. The patio is close by for access to more views & Jacuzzi time! After a long day you can relax by the fire-pit or hot tub with your favorite drink in hand, taking in the changing colors as the sun melts into the horizon. If you happen to be feeling competitive, team up with the fam for a game of air hockey, poker or black Jack in the upper level game/theatre room! At nights end, you have multiple sleeping accommodations on EVERY level!
Main: King bedroom and Queen sofa sleeper in living room
Second floor: King bedroom Jack-n-Jill bath to the bunk room with two Twin bunks, living room has Queen sofa sleeper as well
Third Floor/Loft: Queen daybed with twin trundle and a Queen sleeper sofa if you’ve got a full house!
We even keep a pack-n-play on hand for our littlest friends (second floor King bedroom closet)
Outdoor Space:
We have a 5 person hot tub, fire-pit with seating for 8, corn-hole set up (patriotic style, of course!) and Giant JENGA. The “Old Glory’s View” cabin has roughly a dozen rocking chairs to be claimed so kick back, relax, and rock your way into a Smoky mountain nap.
Game Room:
The game room on the third floor has a big screen and sofa seating available for movie night or binging your favorite show while cuddling under one of our super soft blankets. Easy microwave access for popcorn and a drink fridge for you to load up your favorite beverage while entertaining up there. There is a bar top height black Jack table with plenty of cards and chips! Or if you prefer an air hockey table for some competition! We added an extra bed with trundle for those trips when you’ve got a full house!
Kitchen:
Fully equipped kitchen with stainless appliances: Glasstop stove and oven range with microwave, full size refrigerator with freezer and dishwasher. We have a basic set up of spices, salt and pepper, olive oil and foil. Please feel free to prepare meals together or use the kitchen to stay fueled as you please! You’ll find cutlery, cookware, bakeware, mugs, glasses, dinnerware, waffle irons, blender, hand mixer etc. You can use the bonus island to seat 4 and/or create any spread or buffet that you see fit. We also have stocked utensils/plates/bowls and a high chair for our little friends.
Guest access
The entire property is available to you except for the owners closet. Please make yourself at home and enjoy!
Other things to note
Bears can easily be around this property-this is wonderful but I advise out of caution: Please be mindful NOT to leave food in your vehicle, or anywhere outside the cabin, to include the decks and the grill, it will need to be burned off after each use, please do not leave food or drinks by the fire pit area as well. We are not responsible for damage or injury on this property.
There are Lots of LADY BUGS in the Fall/Winter season and as quickly as they are removed, they come back-this is standard in the SMOKIES!
NO GLASS or FOOD in the Hot tub. Broken glass is extremely difficult o remove and can harm the components of the Hot tub, please utilize our plastic tumblers for your favorite beverage when in the Hot Tub and enjoy…
VERY IMPORTANT: We provide all towels and linens along with a starter pack of paper products (Toilet Paper and Paper towels) as well as laundry and dish soap for a load or two. Each bathroom will contain complimentary body wash, shampoo and conditioner. We WILL NOT be restocking these items during your stay, please come prepared or find one of the convenient stores nearby.
