In Gwangyang Monguljae, a small house in the countryside where you can feel the atmosphere of the countryside, you can experience a walk in a quiet rural neighborhood.
Monguljae was a house built by my parents in 2021, from the square crooked land that huddled in the hinterland.
On March 1, 2024, I opened the annex that I had envisioned as Sarangchae from the time I first designed it as an Airbnb.
Recommended for those who want to enjoy the convenience of a pleasant accommodation while enjoying the sensibility of a country house in ⭐️nature at the same time.⭐️
On December 1, 2025, the terrace and deck were renewed to become a more beloved Monguljae.

We have constructed the entire terrace and deck for a barbecue space where you can enjoy the outdoors while minimizing the effects of wind and rain.
The yard, which was cleaned up after 3 weeks of construction, is also a point!
The wall between the main building and the separate building was constructed, and it was reborn as a more independent space.☺️
The space
-This is a separate building that is “independent” from the main building.
-It is a studio type with a kitchen and a bathroom. (33m2)
-You can freely use the deck and yard (330m2) right in front of the accommodation. Camping is also possible.
-The owner couple host lives in the main house and only one team is accepted as a guest per day.
-There is a queen size bed (installed with koala mattress, an Australian home furnishing that is excellent for sleeping).

-This accommodation is suitable for 2 people. (Studio type 10 sqm)
- You can add only one baby under 12 months old. In this case, there is no additional cost.(Futon and blanket provided)
-Please note that no additional guests are allowed, and we are not accepting due to accommodation management and noise issues!

Take bus no. 21 and 21-3 at Gwangyang Terminal stop, get off at Choiam stop after 12 minutes, and walk for 5 minutes (the dispatch interval is long)

[Location Features]
Mongguljae is located in Choyam Village, Ongryong-myeon. In Okyong-myeon, you can see the majestic and beautiful Baekunsan mountain, and in spring, you can enjoy the mineral-rich Gorosoe water, a deep and cool valley where you can swim in summer, and a walk in autumn (10 minutes by car). Also, the wide Dongcheon stream in front of the house will give you a rest as if you were walking in meditation.
Monguljae aims to be a comfortable resting place for those traveling to Gurye, Hadong, Suncheon, and Yeosu. And we would like to act as a cultural space that provides relaxation and constant communication with local people living around Gwangyang.
