The space
Modern Maples-EVL is a 2600sqft open-concept modern "ModPod" just built in 2024! Only a short 5 minute drive to downtown Ellicottville & ski slopes, it is so easy to get to all the main attractions while being far enough away to unwind and be in nature! This 4 bedroom, 3 full baths, 3 living room modern, moody, & uniquely-designed home comes equipped with everything you need to have an amazing experience here in our "home away from home!"
*This home was JUST finished in April of 2024, so please bear with us as we finish the grading, grow our grass & mature our landscaping. It will start to fill in nicely as the weather warms up. :)
Entrance: You won't miss the newly built black modern chalet with a large separate garage in front! You can easily park 6-8 cars in the driveway and walk right up the path, up the stairs to the main front door to enter. You will receive a personalized electronic code the morning of check-in to use for the smart lock. Welcome home!
Kitchen: Upon entering Modern Maples, you'll notice the bright and brand-spanking new kitchen fully stocked with all the essentials you'll need to make your morning coffee fix, stay-in dinners, or late-night popcorn snack. (Spices and all!) There is a Refrigerator with Freezer, Oven/Stove-top, Microwave, dishwasher, and lots of windows and natural light to enjoy the views while cooking your morning eggs. :) We have a lot of great appliances: Blender, hot water kettle, drip coffee pot & French Press, baking pans, kids plates and cups, slow cooker, toaster, ...even a dutch oven! We try our best to provide you with the conveniences of home, but if there's something you're missing, please don't hesitate to ask. We want to make your stay as comfortable as possible. :)
Dining Area: A large island is surround by 4 gold bar stools. Next to the island, we have a unique dining table with two benches to seat 6 and two additional stools on the end to squeeze in two more. :)
Living room on main level: A cozy leather couch and two swivel chairs create an inviting space to take in the nature views while catching up with loved ones or friends, get to that book you've been meaning to read or binge-watch your next show on our smart TV! The modern and moody design along with the wood burning fireplace & large glass sliders bring all the right vibes during your vacay in the mountains.
Second Living Room/Workout gear downstairs: Bright and cozy, this downstairs chill space has comfy seating to watch the big TV, kids to play cards or a board game, or to get your morning workout in!
Workspace: located in the primary bedroom, there is a private desk space and chair if you have to get some work done during your stay or if you need an inspiring place to write in your journal. :) (Wifi on property!)
Bathrooms: 3 full bathrooms (2 in the main house & 1 in the separate apartment) equipped with towels, makeup washcloths, shampoo, body wash, bodywash, hair dryer, toilet paper. *Baby bath tub available for use during your stay.
Bedrooms: There are 4 seperate bedrooms (3 in the main house and 1 in the separate apartment). This home comfortably sleeps 10 & we also provide a pack-n-play if you have a little one. (Make sure to include your baby in the overall count in your booking.) All the bedrooms have great closet space filled with some hangers & laundry bins.
Speaking of Laundry: There is a Washer, Dryer, Laundry Detergent, drying rack & iron and ironing board (located in the Primary bedroom closet). The Laundry is located in the main bathroom upstair of main house right next to the Primary bedroom. We have provided laundry detergent and also Oxi Clean Pods, as well as some Dryer Balls and Spray-n-Wash for those Buffalo wing sauce stains. ;)
Separate Apartment on Ground floor: a private separate apartment is located behind the "Apres Ski Rec Room" (finished garage space) and will have a separate code to access. There is a full kitchen, dining table with four chairs, couch & TV, Queen Bed and large bathroom equipped with large walk-in shower.
"Apres Ski" Rec Room & Ski Drop: located in the finished garage space, this spacious heated room will house all your ski and snowboard gear after you return from the slopes and you can enjoy ping pong, foosball, a kitchenette with full-sized fridge, a table and two benches to enjoy pizza or a card game, and two large TVS with a couch to let the kids game with their friends or catch the big game!
The Great Outdoors: While staying at Modern Maples, you are welcome to use our private backyard, large porches with an outdoor table and comfy outdoor couches, Adirondack chairs and fireplace coffee table. (run by propane.) There are also so many great parks & hiking adventures close house so there is plenty of space to play catch, enjoy a picnic, and soak in the beautiful Western NY sun and air during the summer and fall!
HOT TUB: Our 8-person Hot Tub is available for guests during their stay and we provide pool towels & cozy Robes to use. You can use the large slider located downstairs in the 2nd living room to put your flip-flops on and access the hot tub. We ask that guests are clean before entering, observe the rules listed on the sign posted, put 2 capfuls of "shock powder" in after use, and always put the cover back on when not in use. Thank you!
*Outdoor Charcoal Grill is available in backyard for guests free of charge. When using, make sure that the grill is cleaned after use & cover is put back on when done. Thank you!
*Home is in the country and uses a well & septic tank. We do have a filter on our well, but if the water is running for longer period of times (in the shower or sink) you may still smell some of the sulfur smell from the well & want to let you know ahead of time if you’re not used to a well system in the country. We have a filter in the fridge water dispenser so that water has another layer of filtration if you prefer that for drinking.
This rare-to-Airbnb *new construction* home is available all year round and provides a much more comfortable and authentic experience for your getaway compared to a boring hotel setting. A multi-purpose space suitable for families, business travelers, romantic getaways and those seeking to explore all that this amazing vacation destination has to offer!
Guest access
You'll have full access to this private home, private detached finished garage and separate fully-furnished apartment as well as the private backyard. There is ample free parking in the driveway. We recommend having 4-wheel drive during the winter months because there is a slope to the driveway.
Other things to note
Feel free to check out the random books and games we've left for you to use during your stay located in the living room media console under the downstairs TV. We know you'll also enjoy the Wyze Thermostat on the wall in-between the two downstairs bedrooms where you can easily control the temps! *Something to note is that if you're using the wood-burning fireplace upstairs, it will get nice and toasty but this will cause the thermostat to think it is very warm and will pause heating the downstairs as well. If you feel like the downstairs isn't getting warm enough but still want to enjoy the fire upstairs, we have provided some space heaters for your convenience. Or, you can manually cool the upstairs by opening some screen doors & then the heat should kick on again for the lower level. :)
*FIREWOOD: We will provide some "starter" wood for the wood burning fireplace located in the stack *UNDER THE MAIN STAIRS ALONG THE WALL OF THE HOUSE*
***Please do not take any of the "decorative" logs that are stacked in front of the Hot Tub, to the left and right of the main stairs or in the backyard. These are part of our decor & are NOT TO BURN. Thank you!
If you’re coming with kids, we have some toys and kids books located in the media cabinet under the TV in the downstairs living room. We also have a high-chair that you can use during your stay and we store it by the stairs and you can bring up and put back cleaned when you're done.
There is a storage closet under the stairs where we keep extra toilet paper, paper towels, the vacuum, the Shark VacMop & Extra Pads, First Aid Kid, Sewing Kit, and some other extras. We ask that you only take what you need and if you don't see what you're looking for, please don't hesitate to reach out.
