ITINERARY & THE AREA

Key Peninsula and the Lakebay area is rural with properties typical at 10 or more acres. Lots of agriculture and equestrian land and many miles of coastline. Two state parks and numerous community parks speak to Key Peninsula's commitment to maintaining the natural beauty of the area. A rich fascinating history can be found with some easy web searches. We even have our own 100+ year old co-op electric company ...Read about the Mosquito Fleet.
We live on a quiet road with a low level of cars driving by typically. A couple of blocks from Penrose Point State Park (there are NO homes located inside the park).

Suggested itinerary:
2 days= the tiny home and surrounding property can be all you need to enjoy your time. Depends on if you primarily came to relax and enjoy the company of whom you are traveling with or if you are looking for regional activities and sights.
Slip in a visit to Penrose State Park just down the road via car or a casual walk. There is beach access for kayaks and trails for walking.
Or if doing some driving isn't an issue, spend time in Gig Harbor (30 minute drive). Walking the waterfront shops and restaurants. Also an area for many retailers.

3 days or more= All of the above, but depending on your relaxation requirements you can further explore the Key Peninsula. I like to look for water access (lakes and boat ramps) or parks. Joemma State Park is the other good state park out here.

Day trips= Viewing the tiny home as a base camp for National Park visits.
Olympic National Park & Forest- Take a scenic drive along Hood Canal 1.5 hours away to Lake Cushman (home of Staircase and other trails). Or Mt. Walker lookout at 2.5 hours. And everywhere in between there are rivers, salt water, trails and water falls.

And/or add another National Park day trip and visit Mt. Rainier. A two hour drive gets you up & personal with the big mountain, the trails and glorious nature found there.

Seattle for a day=. Take the Foot Ferry (which is scenic in itself) from downtown Bremerton to waterfront Seattle. Ride the ferris wheel and wander Pike Place Market.
