This renovated, detached two bedroom lodge offers breathtaking views over open countryside towards Dartmoor, providing an idyllic setting for families, couples, or friends seeking tranquility and natural beauty.

The space
Longhouse Lodge is situated in its own grounds, down a private lane. Recently renovated, creating a beautiful, relaxing space for you and your family or friends.
Accessed via a few outdoor steps, the accommodation expands across a single storey. The entrance door leads through to a spacious hallway, with storage cupboard to provide a place to hang your coats and store your boots.
To the left you can enter the relaxing open plan living area; with games, books and an internet enabled SMART TV to log in and watch your favourite films. This leads on to the spacious dining area, with table which comfortably seats four (a highchair can be requested).
The fully equipped shaker style kitchen includes a gas hob, fan oven, integrated fridge freezer and washing machine.
Two sets of doors lead out onto an outside decked area with seating, providing the perfect place to sit, relax and enjoy the beautiful views.
Heading back through the hallway you will find the first bedroom, with ample storage and featuring a super king size bed (or can be configured as twin beds). Ideal for both families or two couples sharing. Please let us know how you would like the beds set up at the time of booking.
Directly opposite this bedroom is a full size bathroom complete with shower over bath.
Lastly you enter the master suite comprising of a large kingsize bed with stunning views from the window, ample storage space and an ensuite fitted with a shower.
Outside, the lodge boasts a large dog friendly and enclosed garden complete with a barbecue and delicious apple tree! You'll find nothing in front of the property, except open fields and an incredible view of Dartmoor. Should your eyes wander to the right of the property you may notice some wonderful fruit vines belonging to the neighbouring vineyard. Should you want to sample the local wine, feel free to take a stroll down the lane for a tour, or visit to their shop.
On site, there is a large enclosed private pond garden. You are more than welcome to walk around or enjoy a drink on a warm summers evening. Please note that dogs need to be on leads in this area due to nesting birds and children must be supervised at all times.

We offer discounts for all bookings of 5 nights or more. The longer you stay, the bigger the discount (up to 15% for 7 nights).
Guest access
You are booking the exclusive use of Longhouse Lodge.
Private parking can be found to the right side of the lodge (on the gold gravel) for up to two cars, with access to the property and parking via a five bar gate off a private lane.
Please be aware there are a few steps into the property, with no ramp access, once inside it is all one level.
Other things to note
Please note the beds will be set up as the super king and king bed. If you wish to have twin beds, rather than the super king bed, then please let me know at the time of booking.
A travel cot and high chair are available on request, please let me know at the time of booking. You will need to bring your own bedding for the cot.
We do use a septic tank, so keep to the 3Ps (Pee, Poo, Paper) when using the toilet and please use the bin to dispose of anything else. Similarly with the sinks, please do not put anything down the sink like grease, fats, oils, paints and just be mindful of the tank.
We know all too well the enjoyment of relaxing in the sun with the barbecue going, therefore a barbecue area was a must for Longhouse Lodge and our guests. Please also see our house rules for our barbecue rules.
Our Dog Policy:
- Dogs are very much welcomed at Longhouse Lodge. Please let us know at the time of booking should you be bringing your beloved pet.
- Dogs are currently free of charge.
- Maximum ONE large dog, or TWO medium/small dogs. We can consider other requests, but please contact us prior to your booking to see if we can meet your needs.
- Dogs are not allowed in the bedrooms, or on any of the furniture.
- Dogs must not be left in the property at any time, unless in a secure crate. Should you need a crate, one can be provided upon request.
- Please clean up after your dog. Dog poo bags are provided should you need any. Dog poo not picked up may incur an extra cleaning fee.
