Slow down at this rustic modern mountain home with premium amenities. Located 1 mi from town, the home offers convenience and comfort in the SB National Forest.
Amenities include a large spa, EV charger, firewood, natural bath products, games, books, records, coffee/tea, laundry machines, and full kitchen. We welcome well-behaved pets (must disclose).

The space
Little Log Lodge is an updated 1970 two-story mountain home with minimalist woodsy mid-century vibes. The deck and balconies offer ample forest views for relaxation, reading, and animal viewing.
Our neighborhood is peaceful and quiet except for chatty birds and squirrels. We ask guests to match the local low-key vibe and follow Good Neighbor practices.
We are also dedicated to eco-friendly living -- please bring re-useable water bottles, be mindful of trash, and conserve where possible. See below for EV charging info.
MAIN SPACE:
On the main floor, you will find a chef's kitchen with a Bertazzoni gas range, coffee and tea station, dishwasher, and large farmhouse sink. The kitchen opens to comfortable lounging and dining areas with a soaring wood-paneled ceiling with skylights. A wood-burning fireplace, Marshall speaker, bar area (outdoor-safe barware provided), games, records, books, and balcony with BBQ/griddle and rocking chairs complete the space.
The house has central heat. The living room has a mini-split for A/C and heating.
BEDROOMS:
Upstairs: A private hallway on the main floor leads to the bathroom and master bedroom with a king bed, TV, and sunset views. An additional A/C unit is located in the master bedroom during summer months.
Downstairs: you will find two well-appointed, cozy bedrooms (queen beds) on opposite ends of the hall. One bedroom has a private deck with seating near the spa. The other bedroom has an electric fireplace, TV, and desk. A modern bathroom with efficient laundry machines is located between the two bedrooms.
BACKYARD:
The backyard includes a 6-person hot tub, seating areas, and hammock (during the summer) under pine and cedar trees.
ADDITIONAL AMENITIES:
-Kids: A bassinet and a pack-n-play are available for the little ones. Some kids books and games are available.
-EV: Charging included. Please try to charge after 9pm to minimize electricity strain on the mountain.
-Spa: Heating included. Please keep spa closed and tightly covered to conserve energy when not in use. Spa is professionally serviced every Monday.
-TV: Two of the bedrooms have smart TVs with Netflix and HBO Max (and other apps for log-in). There is no TV in the main room; enjoy nature, books, and each other!
-Wifi: Available throughout the home and yard.
-Heating/cooling: All bedrooms and bathrooms have fans and heaters available for extra comfort. We provide firewood for your added convenience!

RIVERSIDE COUNTY RENTAL RULES:
Idyllwild is a quiet, peaceful mountain town. Our home is an ideal spot to relax, unwind, and connect with humans, pets, and nature. Visitors agree to follow all Riverside County rental ordinances by renting our home. These include:
1. Person making the booking must be at least 25. You must send a copy of your ID at time of booking.
2. The property shall not be used for any temporary event (concert, party, etc.) as defined in Riverside County Ordinance No. 348.
3. Guests must comply with Quiet Hours between 10pm and 7 am and obey all other applicable Riverside County noise ordinances (Ordinance Nos. 847, 924)
4. Guests must comply with Riverside County Ordinance No. 915 regarding outdoor lighting. No "party" lighting is permitted (outdoor lights shall not blink, flash, or rotate). Guests will be liable for any "light trespass" on surrounding properties.
5. Unrelenting or habitual barking, howling, crying, or other loud noise from pets is prohibited per Riverside County Ordinance No. 847.
6. Any activity that constitutes a public nuisance under applicable state or local law, or which otherwise constitutes a hazard to the public health, safety, or general welfare is prohibited.
ADDITIONAL HOUSE RULES:
FIRE DANGER: No smoking is permitted on the property. Fires/flames are permitted only in the 2 designated fire chimneys.
Parking: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles in the driveway and carport. OFFSITE PARKING IS NOT PERMITTED.
Pets: Dogs must be on leash AT ALL TIMES outside. Dogs are not permitted to be left alone inside unless crated and quiet.
Road conditions: In winter months, see the CalTrans website for up-to-date road conditions. During snow weeks, AWD and/or chains may be needed to access the mountain. Our street is flat, paved, and plowed.
Other things to note
There is a noise monitor on site as required by Riverside Co. We also have 2 outdoor cameras for security and occupancy monitoring.
Advanced notification for pets is required. 2 max. Visitors are fully responsible for their pets at all times.
Pets are not permitted on bedding or furniture. A $100 minimum fee will be charged if excrement or pet stains/damage left behind.
