It's easy walking distance to all the restaurants, markets and shops in Lamai, and of course a great beach for swimming and chilling is just a 4 minute walk away. (280 meters) The apartment is great for a couple or small family, with a comfy sleeping sofa for one or two children.

The space
A small but smartly laid out studio apartment with everything you need for a great beach holiday at one of the best beaches on the island. We've maximized the space while fitting a large king size bed and big two-person sleeping sofa. There are two multi-fuction wooden tables and chairs that can be arranged for breakfast/dining or as a workspace, either inside the unit or on the balcony. It's suitable for a couple, or a family with one teenage child or two smaller children.

Lamai is the best area on the entire island: the beach is just stunning: soft sand, no rocks and the crystal clear water is not too shallow; at other beaches you need to wade much further out to get to waters deep enough for swimming, especially at low tide. It's also visually stunning, a crescent shaped beach situated in between a headland to the North, and the "Grandfather Rocks" to the South. Inland it's a small valley shaped by the Lamai estuary stream, surrounded by forested hills. Try swimming a bit out to sea and looking back.. That's what a tropical island should ook like!

Lamai town is small but vibrant: it's not a loud party place like Chaweng Beach, yet there are plenty pubs and restaurants to keep you entertained. In addition to the touristy side it's important to note that Lamai has always been and continues to be a 'local village', with a temple, a fresh market and things going on other than tourism. This makes a big difference in the vibe of a place; it's nice when there is a definite local culture, not an artificial area created for tourism.

And at this low-rise residential complex you're exactly in the middle of it; less than 300 meters to the beach, walking distance to dozens of pubs and restaurants, and from the back entrance you get to everywhere else in Lamai and the rest of the island.

Born and raised in Chiang Mai, now married with two lovely kids. We still enjoy Chiang Mai and the North immensely. And Chiang Mai is one of those towns with a very visible history, in the old city moat, and an incredible number of temples. That said, there is no beach. :) So I'm happy to also have a place a stone's throw from one of the best beaches on Koh Samui Island.
