Mountain and valley views

Soak up the views during your stay.
Escape to this peaceful country villa perched above Pescia and the Svizzera Pesciatina villages. Getting here takes effort—narrow roads, wildlife sightings, and remote surroundings—but the views and serenity are worth it. Every room looks out over the valley, offering stunning sunrises and golden sunsets. Enjoy sunsets from the terrace, relax under the pergola, or use the wood-fired pizza oven. Perfect for families or groups, with twin beds in two rooms and queen or king beds in the rest.

The space
A few things to know:

Spacious & Comfortable
The home sleeps up to 13 people with 4 bedrooms featuring queen or king beds and 2 rooms with twin beds (3 in one, 2 in the other).

Bathrooms for Everyone
There are 4 bathrooms: one with a full tub, two with walk-in showers, and one wet room—great for group stays.

No A/C, But Breezy & Screened
The house is perched on a mountainside and stays naturally cool. Every bedroom has a fan, and screened windows let in fresh air without bugs.

Fully Equipped Kitchen
Cook up a feast in the stocked kitchen or use the outdoor wood-fired pizza oven for a true Tuscan experience.

Laundry Convenience
There’s a washing machine for your use. Please be mindful—larger items can be handled at nearby laundromats in Pescia.

Access Info
The road is steep and narrow, so a confident driver is recommended. You'll likely spot deer or wild boars on the way in—part of the magic!

Discover Pescia & Beyond
The villa is a short drive from the charming town of Pescia, known for its local markets, historic center, and access to the 10 medieval villages of Svizzera Pesciatina. It’s an ideal base for day trips to Lucca, Florence, or the coast.

Guest access
The entire house and property is yours to use during your stay.

Other things to note
Welcome to Your Tuscan Retreat!
We’re thrilled to host you in our peaceful hillside villa overlooking the beautiful town of Pescia. Whether you're here to relax, explore the Svizzera Pesciatina villages, or enjoy time with family and friends, this guide will help you settle in and make the most of your stay.

Getting Here & Around
The road up is narrow and steep—very common in rural Tuscany. A confident driver is helpful, and we recommend arriving during daylight the first time. You can find a video on YouTube called "The track to villa La Fortezza de Cerrato, San Lorenzo, Pescia,” which outlines what to expect. A smaller car or small SUV would be best, as you will be able to maneuver around the tight corners easier than in a larger vehicle.
