The cabin sits on a wooded acre of land within a small neighborhood, lending to privacy without isolation. The area adheres to "the quiet side of the smokies", although there are other rentals in the area and it is possible for sound to travel up the mountain. Most guests find peace and quiet at the cabin ❤️
Inside, the open concept floorplan includes a cozy living room perfect for intimate evenings by the fireplace and a kitchen that provides all the essentials for a quick meal or a full gourmet spread. We also provide a variety of seasonings and olive oil, you just bring the ingredients! With the exception of a few select rustic pieces purposefully chosen for character, we have furnished the cabin with brand new furniture. A luxurious mattress and unique bed frame, hand-carved by a local TN artist, adds to the comfort of your stay. The light-blocking curtains and blinds mean you can sleep in as long as you'd like - enjoy!
While there are a few steps into the main entrance, the main bedroom is located on the first floor and the bathroom includes a full walk-in doorless shower, making for easier accessibility for everyone. Whether you are giddy with new love, looking for the unforgettable honeymoon, or living the “happily ever” after one – or 50 years – of marriage, our cabin sets the stage for kindling that romantic feeling and celebrating your love for one another.
We offer high-speed (1200 mps!) WiFi internet via Comcast Xfinity so you can still stay connected to the outside world – if you so choose. Several sitting areas arranged throughout the cabin allow for perfect nooks to read, write, create, or just ponder the views while falling even more in love. (Please keep in mind as with all technology, especially in rural areas, the availability of the WiFi is reliant on the service and thus cannot be guaranteed).
The two levels of back decks face West for the most spectacular sunset views – feel like you are riding off into the sunset while soaking in the luxurious hot tub, or snuggle close for a special romantic ambience. The wet bar on the loft level means you don’t have to go far to grab a refreshment and head to the upper deck for pure relaxation overlooking the mountains.
The thermostat has a built-in Alexa smart device so you can ask to play your favorite songs or hook up your Bluetooth (note there are NO cameras inside the cabin, including the Alexa devices).

As the cabin is positioned high on the mountain, there can be heavy/strong winds and gusts. Please note that Tennessee can get severe weather at times, and this can happen at the cabin. You may not be able to spend time or enjoy the decks during severe weather.
This is a semi-remote retreat in the mountains which means there are spiders, spiderwebs outside, wildlife, and insects that you will interact with as they are part of the ecosystem so please be prepared. Refunds will not be given for encountering bugs. Bears are known to frequent the area but have remained respectful towards humans. It is required to always keep a safe distance and enjoy them from afar - and, keep car doors locked when unattended!
Cell phone reception is generally accessible but can vary depending on your carrier.
The roads heading to the cabin are county-maintained and nicely paved. However they can be relatively steep to some and can be slick in inclement weather. There are no guard rails. It is suggested you have four wheel drive available in less desirable weather, so keep that in mind if you are planning a winter trip. If you are not used to mountain roads, give yourself extra time and try to arrive prior to dusk.
There are security cameras facing outwards from the house towards the driveway and a doorbell camera. These cameras record video and audio 24/7 and are limited to the use for safety and security purposes. There are no security cameras inside or facing the back of the house so your privacy is fully maintained.

Have the cabin completely to yourself! The only area off-limits are the cabinets above the refrigerator, which are reserved for the owner’s personal use.
