'IN THE STABLE' is located on the ground floor of the barn of the mill property. It used to be a stable.(Also check out my other apartment 'Barn Loft.') The room has low ceilings and small lattice windows. The room is suitable for people looking for a more cave-like, cozy retreat. Due to the oven and the cold floor, the apartment is not suitable for infants. In the cold season, it may be necessary to heat with the oven. See below.

The space
The 1-room apartment and an attached shower room (together about 40 square meters) are located on one level. A fly door or two-part (stable) door separates you directly from the outside area. A horse or a chicken could move here.
There is a kitchen, 2 comfortable wingback chairs and a bed with a 140 cm mattress. You can decide whether you want to have breakfast on a stool at a kind of bar or whether you prefer to sit at a table. You can also use this as a desk.
The modern oven is very close to the bed. Mindfulness and a certain know-how are required here. Many a cool day, even in spring or autumn, may make it necessary to turn on the stove. In the hot summer, it is the ideal place.
Due to the small lattice windows, this room looks more like a kind of 'cave'. It is quite possible that you will also have to turn on the light during the day.

Other things to note
This apartment may need your energy to heat it up. You've come to the right place if you enjoy such activities. In any case, a pair of wool socks, slippers or a thick sweater are not out of place here. 'In the horse stable' has the charm of country life. When you leave the room, you stand directly in front of the chicken and goose house and in winter, door to door with the horses. In front of the door you also have a direct view of the self-built bee house.

My favorite cafes are about 20 minutes by car. I like good cafes. For restaurants, you have to expect about the same time. There are at least 4 swimming lakes within 15 minutes by car. Supermarket 15 minutes. Organic stores within 20-30 minutes by car. Within a good half an hour you are in Herborn, Wetzlar, Weilburg or Limburg.

The mill is located directly on the Kallenbach bike path, which connects the Westerwald bike path with the Lahntal bike path.

There are 3 mineral springs nearby. They were already attributed healing effects around 1900.
