The guest house has a unique character with many charming details. It consists of two apartments, each floor with 6 beds and dining area for 6 people. The guest house has a large beautiful garden with an idyllic patio where you can sit and eat together. On the patio, there is also a wood-fired hot tub, barbecue and a large wooden deck for sunny days. Soccer field and swings for the kids are also found in the garden.

The space
The guest house dates back to the early 1900s with many charming parts remaining such as wood-burning stoves, tiled stoves, timber walls and old floors.

The house consists of two flats. There is no connecting staircase inside the house, but the staircase is on the outside.

The upper floor consists of a kitchen with dining area for 6 people, a TV room, a bathroom with shower and toilet. The large bedroom has a double bed and two single beds. The small bedroom has a double bed and a crib.

The downstairs has a kitchen with dining area for 6 people, 1 bathroom with shower and toilet, 1 toilet with washer and dryer and 2 bedrooms. The large bedroom has a double bed and a bunk bed, in the room there is also a small TV corner with sofa. The small bedroom has a double bed.

If you are a large group in the summer, you can all sit together and eat out on the patio. It has a large table with 6 chairs under the roof and a large table with 6 chairs on the wooden deck. In low season and in bad weather, there are extra tables and stools to set up in the kitchen downstairs. It will be crowded but cozy:)

Hulevik offers fantastic nature as your closest neighbor. Go out by boat and fish, pick mushrooms in the forest, swim by the beach or just hang out in your very own large garden. This accommodation is right next to Åsnens National Park in Småland. One of the national park's entrances "Trollberget" is about 1.5 km from the guest house with a cozy walk there. The child-friendly swimming area in Hulevik is only 200 meters away and the harbor is about 300 meters away, where it is possible to rent 2 Linder aluminum boats with motor from us. Booked guests receive a discount on boat booking.

In 2011, the guest house's current owner bought the forest where the guest house was located. The house was at that time dilapidated and forgotten. Since the house had potential, a decision was made to do a major renovation to create a comfortable accommodation while highlighting original details, such as timber walls, old floors and tiled stoves. In 2014, the guest house was ready for rent.

You will have access to all the space inside and outside except for the warehouses and storage rooms where we store machines, furniture and tools.

The village of Hulevik was in the first half of the 20th century a small mill with an industry that was mainly based on wood raw material that was transported on barges that were towed over the lake by steamboat. Wood wool was a successful product that was shipped out of Hulevik by rail and was even exported to countries as far away as South Africa.

Today, the village has about 16 permanent homes and about 40 holiday homes.

I run our family business Huleviks Boende AB where we have two houses in the gem Hulevik that we rent out to tourists, Gula Villan and Hulevik's guest house. When I'm not working on that, I'm a school nurse, so fun to vary in my work. I love the connection with guests and want you to have a great experience. Otherwise lives in Växjö with my family, about 35 minutes from Hulevik.
