Welcome to Honeypot Farmhouse—Your family's year-round VT retreat. We're <10mi to Okemo & Magic, 14mi to Bromley, & less than 35mi to Stratton, Mt Snow & Killington. We just renovated our 1850s home to be a mix of modern & cozy; where we—and you—will never want to leave. Come for a fun-filled weekend on the mountains skiing or a relaxing getaway in nature. End your day curled up by the fire in our cozy Great Room, playing games on our Arcade, or over a glass of wine in our open-concept kitchen.
The space
Honeypot Farmhouse is the perfect location for your getaway to Southern Vermont with family and friends. Our home sits on three acres of land nestled in the valley between glorious mountain peaks. You'll be surrounded by working farms, green fields, and babbling brooks, just outside the hustle and bustle of the ski mountains, but still a quick drive for easy access to the slopes.
We put a modern touch on this vintage farmhouse to give you the comforts of modern living with the coziness of an old New England country house—think high-speed internet, 18,000-game standup Arcade, and smart-thermostats mixed with wide-plank floors and reclaimed wood accents. Our home features an open layout between the kitchen, dining and living spaces. Step outside our French doors onto our large wraparound porch complete with a handmade bench-swing overlooking our neighbor's farm.
Our brand new kitchen, bathroom (with a laundry room), and a dining room that opens out onto the wraparound porch make this quiet, family-friendly getaway both quaint and desirable. The large Great Room is a perfect gathering spot for families big and small, with an original fireplace and comfy new furniture. The mud room and first-floor bathroom have heated floors, and the open-floor concept chef’s kitchen is a perfect place to cook family meals and sip coffee in the morning and cocktails in the evening.
Grab some wood from outside to make a fire in our fireplace and relax! Creature comforts are important—You'll find a 42" TV over the Great Room fireplace equipped with an Amazon Fire Stick. We also have a selection of board games and the 4-player Arcade for your enjoyment.
The four bedrooms upstairs are part of the original house’s design, but every room is furnished with new bed frames and mattresses to help you sleep comfortably after a big day outdoors. Our home works well for two to three small families, one large family, or a group of friends. Two bedrooms feature queen-sized beds, the third features a full-bed and a twin bed, and the fourth features four twin beds.
Outside we have a fire-pit and Adirondack chairs for you to stargaze, toast marshmallows, and clink glasses.
Honeypot Farmhouse is 10 miles from both Okemo and Magic Mountain ski areas and 14 miles from Bromley. We are also a short distance to Stratton (19 miles), Killington (31 miles) and Mt Snow (36 miles).
You'll have a key-code to gain access to your private home along Route 100. There is a locked door in the Great Room that accesses the rear unit where the owners live. The rear unit and garage are only accessible by the owners, but the full private front house is yours to enjoy along with the wraparound porch and massive side yard.
We are often in the other house on the property, but not always. Sometimes, we can be there to lend a hand in person, but please don't count on it. We're fully accessible via text, phone or app, though, throughout your stay!
Please note this is absolutely not a party house. We designed this space with the intention of families and groups of adults respecting our home. If you’re looking for a place to party, we kindly ask that you consider other listings. The owners and their families, friends, children, and pets are often in the back unit, but will always leave you to enjoy your stay in privacy. Dogs are welcome, but do require a pet deposit. We ask that you clean up after your four-legged friends both inside and outside. Thank you!
