Luxury 200 year old barn conversion in the heart of the North York Moors National Park.

Relax in comfort with underfloor heating and log burner fire. Both double bedrooms have smart TV’s & en-suite shower rooms. The open plan kitchen area is fully equipped and provides a large breakfast bar for socialising.
The barn has a large private outdoor space with views of the moors. Pubs/restaurants/shops locally, Whitby is 20mins away together with fishing and moorland villages to visit nearby.

The space
Open plan kitchen, dining, living area with two en-suite double bedrooms - one either end of the barn providing space and privacy. The rustic barn includes features such as beams, exposed stone walls and a log burning fire.

One bedroom has a king-size bed with large en-suite shower room.

The second bedroom can be made up as a super king sized bed or two single beds. This also has an en-suite shower room.

The kitchen is well equipped with an oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, dishwasher and two fridges with small freezer compartments. There is a washing machine in the plant room accessed next to the parking spaces. There is also room here for bike storage.

Outside, there is a large patio with table & chairs and a vast garden/paddock space for private use. This space backs onto moorland, with lovely walks and stunning views of the Esk Valley.

Guest access
Parking is available for up to 2 vehicles opposite the rear of the barn and a further 2 vehicles can park in the main yard.

Official dark skies area. Perfect stargazing location where the dark sky panorama is revealed, showcasing a magnitude of stars, planets, moons and more.

Situated on the edge of the villages of Danby and Castleton, Hog Barn is within walking distance of pubs, a small supermarket and a deli. A further pub, health shop and village bakery are within 1 mile.

The barn is ideally located for walking and cycling - the moors are literally on the doorstep!

There is a Moors National Park Visitor Centre in Danby, which is worth a visit. This includes an informative exhibition, art gallery, cafe, woodland, play area & carparking. Also close by is Danby Castle, a 14th century castle ruin where Henry VIII's 6th wife, Catherine Parr once lived.

The area is quiet & rural, where sheep roam freely. The night skies are amazing for star gazing - the area is an official dark sky discovery site - one of the best places in the country to see stars.
