Nestled in a tiny enclave of cabins just-off Interstate-90 in North Bend, this beautifully appointed retreat on the South Fork of the Snoqualmie River, is your gateway to 4-season activities or the perfect place to relax and spend time with the people who matter most.
The space
Rustic on the outside, and contemporary on the inside--this 1100 square foot cabin is generously equipped with a modern kitchen, laundry, gas fireplace, WiFi (ten-megabit), smart-TV, electric heat and more. Wilderness living has never felt so luxurious.
NOTE - This property can be booked as a 1BR home or 2BR home depending on your needs (each is a separate listing on Airbnb). Regardless of which you book, you will have the ENTIRE property to yourselves. If you book the 2BR home, you get access to both bedrooms and if you book the 1BR home, the private BR (shown as the 13th photo in the 2BR listing with the narrow windows) will be locked off and inaccessible. This allows us to reduce the cost to couples who only desire a one-bedroom home.
Guest access
Guests will have exclusive access to the entire property.
Other things to note
TRAVEL INSURANCE - In an effort to keep rates reasonable and maximize calendar availability for serious travelers, we have adopted a strict cancellation policy. If you believe there is a chance you'll need to cancel your reservation after booking, please purchase the optional travel insurance from Airbnb or a third-party provider. Exceptions to the cancellation policy are unavailable.
INTERNET - This home has low-speed broadband which is suitable for streaming video and basic web/email use, but it is not suitable for remote work.
RISKS FOR THOSE WITH MOBILITY ISSUES - This property contains undulating terrain, steps /elevations without railings or guards, bathrooms without safety railings, and other mobility hazards. Children, the elderly, and those with mobility issues or concerns are advised to refrain from booking the home without consulting the host to ensure that these hazards will not present an issue during your stay.
CELLULAR COVERAGE - Due to our location in the mountains, cellular coverage can be limited or non-existent. Some visitors report having a bar or two of coverage, while others have reported intermittent to no-service. Please ensure that your smartphone is configured for WiFi calling, then join the WiFi network as soon as you arrive to ensure that you have phone service.
ROAD NOISE - The home resides next to the river, near Interstate 90, so traffic noise and river noise may both be present during your stay. The home is exceptionally well insulated and traffic noise is usually not an issue for guests due to river proximity, but we want potential guests to be aware, especially if they are sensitive to these types of sounds.
HOT TUB - The hot-tub is NOT shared and is available for your exclusive use. No food is permitted in the hot tub and we kindly ask that you shower before using to prevent the build-up of lotions and body oils in the water and on the sides of the hot tub.
PETS - We don't host pets. We love dogs but have guests how are sensitive to hair and odors (allergies aside) so we've tried to maintain those conditions for them. Thank you for your understanding.
CHILDREN - This home was specifically furnished and equipped to host adults. While we do not prohibit children, please note that the property, amenities, and the proximity to the river make this property an unlikely choice for families traveling with children.
ROAD CONDITIONS - You will NOT need an all-wheel drive vehicle to reach this property (unless the entire region is hit by a rare snow storm). The roads are paved all the way to the driveway.
EARLY CHECK-INS / LATE CHECKOUTS - Early check-ins and late checkouts are unavailable. We apologize but our cleaning staff cannot predictably accommodate extended stays. If you must arrive earlier or stay later than the prescribed check-in/out times, consider booking an additional day if available. Thank you for your understanding.
FISHING - You can fish the river but need a license (see Wa State Dept of Fish & Wildlife website for more information)
KAYAKING - You cannot kayak the river due to the adjacent waterfall but local options for these activities are included in the house-manual which you'll receive upon booking.
FIRE PIT - The fire-pit is available for your use but wood is not provided (though sometimes it is left by a prior guest so feel free to use, if that's the case). A lighter is usually provided and is stored in the kitchen drawer but these are often stolen and the absence is sometimes overlooked by the cleaning staff. Please check the King County Washington website to determine if a burn ban is in effect. Additionally, a gas fire-pit is available for your use (propane provided). See the house manual for instructions on use.
CLEANING PRODUCTS - We sparingly use scented laundry soap, but do not use fabric softeners, home air-fresheners, or pesticides around the property.
POWER OUTAGES - Power outages can occur during the winter months. Though rare, it does happen when trees fall (which are in great quantity in this area). If this happens during your stay, you can wait for the power to be restored (usually within a few hours) or message your host and checkout. The unused portion of your stay can be refunded by contacting Airbnb.
PRIVATE ACCESS TO PROPERTY - Guests have private access to the entire property. Though rare, the owner or cleaners may need access to the outside of the property (driveway-shed) during your stay (never inside your home without a specific request from you). The purpose of these exceptionally-rare visits would be to replenish supplies. Additionally, landscapers make every effort to mow between guests but occasionally (very rarely) they are unable to accommodate and may need to perform a quick mow during your stay. Rest assured, every effort will be made to eliminate or minimize disruptions during your stay.
