Surrounded with an amazing landscape you’ll feel like you’re in the country, yet it’s only minutes from the quaint village of Summerland & the quaint seaside resort of Carpinteria. World famous Montecito Village is only 5 minutes away and downtown Santa Barbara is a quick 10 minutes up highway 101.

The space

We love keeping our high rating and are very selective on who we allow in our personal home. Be sure to see the important note at the end as well.
There is more than enough space to relax and enjoy a great home-cooked meal and watch a game or movie on our large TV's, our friends say our house is better than most sport's bars. The primary suite bath has a large walk-in shower and sliding doors that overlooks the garden.
When you are not out and about enjoying what the Santa Barbara area has to offer, you can relax in the backyard where you’ll find a dining table for six and an oversized sofa for your outdoor enjoyment along with a gas grill.
In the open-concept kitchen, you have everything from a pod coffee maker, french press, toaster oven, air fryer, pots and pans, various seasonings, and other kitchen items that will be yours to help you prepare a home-cooked meal. But keep in mind you are only minutes away from some of the best restaurants in the Santa Barbara area and we’ll leave you a list of our favorites.
IMPORTANT 2026 update to note. We now live in this home 80% of the year and while there will be plenty of room to put your items for your stay, we do live in the home, so you will need to be okay with that. Our normal rates last year were at least $899/night and we have discounted our rates to account for the fact that someone will have to be okay with a few more items in the home. We are away for a two month and thought to see if we could find a good match for 14 to 65 days in length.
If our dates don't match your exact needs you can always message us and ask if something is blocked off and we might be able to make it available.
Guest access
A unique front door code and along with a gate opener to the gated driveway will be ready for you to use upon your arrival in the check-in details within the Airbnb App. Our house operations are clearly documented in the paperwork when you arrive. Plus we are a quick Airbnb message away most of the time. And you will also have our cell phone numbers.
We ask for quiet hours from 10 pm to 8 am. It is important for our guests to keep the sound at all times to a reasonable level. Please note there are long-term tenants that live on the property and they help oversee the property for us. To date none of our AirBnB guests have noted ever noted any issues.
We love hosting people who respect our property and our tenants as well as our neighbors. This place is priced below market for similar properties in this exclusive area to allow for this consideration. It is expected that you will be respectful of the other tenants on the property.
As this is our personal residence when it is not rented, we keep some of our personal items inside. The master closet and garage are locked but there is plenty of other storage and closet options for your stay.
The hot tub, firepit and Big Green Egg are unavailable for guests to use, but there is a gas grill you can use and plenty of outdoor seating.
Other things to note
Access to the Garage, Primary Closet (small wardrobe and other storage available in Primary) spa and fire pit are not included in our rentals.
We allow up to two pets for an additional fee. We appreciate full disclosure of any animals or we will charge an additional $250 for undisclosed animals (this includes emotional support animals) as our cleaning process and last-minute efforts are much greater. We send pet separate rules to agree to after booking.
If your pets shed please plan to do additional cleaning yourself as our pet fee does not cover anything more than the added wear and tear to our home, it does not cover additional cleaning.
Please also include with your reservation request any details as far as arrival time and special needs. We will ask you to send a copy of your driver's license and the names of all the adults in your party and if you have less than 10+ top-rated reviews we will ask for additional details after booking.
***Reviews are what make or break any Airbnb and so please note the review system because 4 stars mean there were many issues we didn’t resolve, which should never be the case with our home.
There are no refunds for early checkouts.

Again as we have noted in various places we have 3 people on the property in their own separate units. The only shared space is the backyard for them to mainly come and go. They are extremely trustworthy and help oversee the property when we are away. We are happy to share more or even do a video call to explain this more after booking and we will provide a free cancellation with in 48 hours of your booking if our home doesn’t meet you needs.
