Dalmore is a beautifully appointed semi dating back to 1936 when this quiet estate was built on the outskirts of Preston. Close to the M6, town centre and the Guild Wheel we are equally suited to leisure and business bookings & welcome short breaks or long term lets. The house accommodates up to 8 guests - usually 5 adults in 3 bedrooms. There is off road parking for up to 3 standard cars. Storage space on request for cycles. Guests have complete use of the house rental area and gardens.

The space
Dalmore is suitable for couples or groups of friends, corporate and contract workers who need a private and safe base whilst working away from home - or for larger groups of up to 10 people who want a location where they are all together.

For larger groups we can add to the three fixed beds (sleeping 5) with additional floor mattresses/air mattresses. This can afford an additional 4-5 sleeping spaces. Each guest above the standard 5 will be charged at £25 per person per night. If we are required to provide additional mattresses/bedding due to the booking intending single occupancy of the three fixed beds - then we will charge an additional £20 per bed per night to cover extra cleaning time.

We are the perfect location for a stay to visit family or University students, attend a wedding or other celebration or as a base to explore the North West in all directions - but equally we are perfectly placed and happy to accommodate BAe, hospital, retail, education and other visiting professionals, requiring temporary accommodation.

We are conveniently placed for the University buildings, local hospitals and for the commute to both Aerospace sites.
We are also the ideal base for exploring the Fylde Coast, Lake District, East Lancs areas, Manchester, Liverpool, Lancaster or Blackpool but, most importantly, Preston itself is a beautiful and historic Lancashire town with loads to offer so you need not leave at all.

Guest access
Guests will have access to both the front and rear doors and the use of the full house as booked. Any bedrooms not booked will be locked during your stay.

If you feel you will need more storage space then please book the whole house rather than ask for other rooms to be opened for you.

Neighborhood highlights

The house is situated on a quiet residential estate alongside a public right of way through an old golf course which leads to the Guild Wheel - a 26 mile pedestrian and cycle way which circles Preston and its surrounding villages. A twenty minute walk along the path will lead to Brockholes Nature Reserve - a beautiful setting for walks or a cup of coffee but a real gem for anyone interested in wildlife, particularly birds.

In every direction we are a short drive away from a number of farm shops, beauty spots and beach areas. The property contains a full 'handbook' with details to help you if you are at a loose end. Whilst the city of Preston is clearly an urban area we are within 5 minutes of beautiful countryside both wild and country parks, rural villages to the North, East South and West and lots of cultural events throughout the year easily accessed from this property.

If you prefer to sit quiet and enjoy the peace of the private garden then this is an option too - lots of art and crafts materials are available on request.

We are on a direct bus route to the town centre but again a twenty minute walk along the main road into the City centre will take you to the shops and all University buildings and Preston's central Avenham Park and Winckley Square areas where you will find beautiful Victorian and Georgian architecture and well established parklands.

Blackpool is only 20 minutes away but we also have Lythm, St Annes, Clevelys and Fleetwood on our doorstep.
