The space
Nestled under a giant sequoia tree, our newly renovated cabin is located in a quaint residential mountain neighborhood. Please know we have adjacent neighbors on 3 sides of the property, however our yard is fully enclosed/fenced. We do not have a view of the lake despite our street name.
We are located in the mountains: please know our roads are windy and narrow, and sidewalks aren’t common in this region. We’re happy to provide a map for a neighborhood stroll. We are also just minutes away from beautiful spacious walkways/hikes.
Our charming cabin has been thoughtfully furnished with quality pieces that combine a transitional blend of mid-century and modern mountain decor, and was intentionally designed with YOU in mind!

Other things to note
***As a courtesy to our team, we do NOT allow for check in/check out on major holidays***
- We are located in a quaint residential mountain neighborhood. While the yard is fully fenced, you will see and hear surrounding properties from certain locations on the property. Quiet time is enforced 9 PM - 8 AM.
- Our home uses a septic system, which requires a different approach to traditional plumbing (no food particles down the sink, don't flush anything down the toilet except toilet paper, etc). More details in house rules. ANY PLUMBING INCIDENTS THAT OCCUR DURING/AFTER GUEST OCCUPANCY DUE TO LACK OF ADHERENCE TO SEPTIC PROTOCOLS WILL RESULT IN A FINE CHARGED TO THE GUEST.
- Our cabin is two floors and the stairs are steep and can be dangerous for small children. We provide a baby gate that can be placed at the top or bottom of the stairs.
- Please be coherent of wildlife which can include racoons, squirrels, birds, stray dogs and BEARS! Intentional acts to touch, feed or attract animals to the property is strictly prohibited. All trash must be disposed of in the secured trash bins, with animal proof locks engaged. SUMMER/FALL: Thoroughly clean up after an outdoor meal. Leaving scraps of food out will encourage yellow jackets to spend time in your vicinity.
WINTER HOLIDAY DECOR: Up the week of Thanksgiving - week after New Year’s Day.
DOG FRIENDLY:
2 well-behaved pups are permitted with a pet fee. Guest must include dogs in occupancy when booking, or will be charged an additional fee. Please see house rules for more info, dogs cannot be left unattended during stay. Sorry no cats due to medical necessity, our owner has severe allergies :(
SNOW SEASON (November - April)
- During the snowy winter months, our cabin is PURE MAGIC but it can require a little more planning and an extra adventurous spirit.
For traveling during snow season, 4 wheel drive/ all wheel drive is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. At times, the county may mandate chains and 4WD/AWD. Please familiarize yourself with your vehicle’s chains and be prepared for this potential mandate as we cannot be responsible for you not making it up the mountain. Road closures do not warrant a cancellation/refund; we highly recommend purchasing travel insurance with your booking to mitigate this risk.
In severe weather conditions, there can be downed tree limbs, road closures, and power outages. Please be aware that it can be difficult for workers to restore power, clear roads, or reach the cabin for repairs. If you choose to book a stay during the snowy months, get your adventurous spirit ready. We provide rechargeable flashlights, an EcoFlow DELTA mini portable power station with solar panels (1500W), portable Vornado heater, and power outage kit with flashlights/headlamps etc to use in this situation. Start a fire in the fireplace and stay cozy while you wait for the power to turn back on.
Please monitor weather conditions closely when planning a visit to our little cabin during the winter, and make sure you are equipped to both reach and leave the cabin safely within the established check-in and check-out times. We will try to help you in any way we can from our remote position, but know that ultimately your hosts are not liable for the whims of Mother Nature.
- We recommend always having some essentials in your car: a flashlight, extra water, extra food, warm clothing, gloves, blankets, etc. Always best to be prepared.
SNOW REMOVAL: Our street is plowed by the county but you may need to shovel the driveway during heavy snowfall. Snow shovels will be provided. We can also connect you with a local snow removal company, should you choose to hire a snow removal team during your stay.
WHEELCHAIR ACCESS:
Our downstairs space can be wheelchair-friendly, however we do require advance notice so we can set up the wheelchair ramp prior to your arrival. Our walk-in curbed shower may not accommodate all special mobility needs. Please note that while our accommodations are designed with accessibility in mind, we do not meet all ADA guidelines.
We strongly encourage guests who require specific accessibility features to please reach out to us before booking. This allows us to ensure that our home is the right fit for your stay and for additional arrangements to be made to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
Ev Charging:
We do not allow EV vehicle charging on premises. In the event a guest opts to charge their EV, we do implement a $100/charge fee.
Cameras/Monitoring:
We do have multiple exterior cameras and a decibel sound monitor inside the home on the 1st level. These are not to be removed during your stay.
In booking this reservation, you acknowledge:
1) You have read and understand all house rules, and both you and your associated party will abide by all house rules & policies in SB County’s Good Neighbor brochure.
2) You are financially responsible for covering replacement/repair costs if damages are caused by you and/or your associated party.
3) Regardless of length of stay, any booking through airbnb does not result in any California tenant rights or rights to the property.
***If at any time we find you have violated house rules, you will be asked to vacate the property immediately without reimbursement. If you do not vacate, you will be fined $600/day until you leave.***
