Ada’s Cottage is a seaside property based in the West Lake District/West Cumbria. The cottage backs onto the beach and is in a peaceful little village with 3 country pubs and cafe. The village also boasts the La’al Ratty; a famous Lake District steam railway.

The property sleeps 4 people in 2 rooms- One double & One Twin. With both modern and original nautical features, this property is a very cosy and unique stay.

Located in an ideal location to discover the Lake District via foot or train.

The space
A quirky terrace house located on the beach. With two bedrooms; one double & one twin… Perfect for a family.

The living room and kitchen are open plan and located upstairs with views of the Estuary.

The living room has an Electric fire, underfloor heating, pull out dining table and Sky Glass TV.

The back garden has views of the beach and has a BBQ and seating.

Parking is available at the front of the house for two small cars or there is a nearby car park.

This property is a brand new renovation with quirky nautical touches throughout and lots of original features.

This property is now dog friendly

* Dogs allowed but please do not let them foul on the decking area at the back as it will cause smells. Please use the beach for toileting.

Ada’s Cottage is located in the small village of Ravenglass in West Cumbria. It is an ideal base for exploring the Lake District either via foot or by using the nearby train station.

Ideal places to visit nearby are Wasdale, Ennerdale, Muncaster Castle, St bees, Eskdale, Stanlygyll, Buttermere, Whitehaven, Keswick etc.

You can also hop on the famous La’al Ratty steam train and stop off at various destinations on the way to Dalegarth.

The village itself has 3 country pubs all serving food with one known for its fine dining. There is also a lovely little cafe and a famous icecream parlour.

It also has some of the most well preserved Roman Ruins in the U.K. and is located on the well known Eskdale trail.

This sleepy little village is one you will want to visit time and time again.
