Nestled in the heart of nature, our 3-bedroom, 1-bathroom cabin with a loft is the perfect retreat for those seeking a memorable escape. With the capacity to comfortably sleep 6 adults and 8 guests max, The Cozy Cub beckons you with its inviting ambiance and promises an unforgettable getaway.
We welcome your potty-trained furry friends! (Limit: two dogs, each no more than 35 lbs.) Please review our house rules for more details regarding pets.

For snow enthusiasts, Bear Valley Ski Resort is a quick 30 minutes up the hill. Take your littles to enjoy Spicer SNO-Park. We often get lucky with a snowy winter wonderland right here at the cabin! ⛄️
As part of the Blue Lake Springs HOA, guests enjoy exclusive paid access to Snowflake Lodge with a playground, sports courts, swimming pool and two private lakes (Lodge Lake & Fly In Lake) from Memorial Day through Labor Day. There are many other family activities throughout the summer as well including camps, lessons, campfire nights with live music, etc. Using the provided guest pass grants the ability to use the facilities with a fee. Daily fees assessed by the HOA for 2024 are $20 per person (over age of 2) or $100 for a group of 6. Weekly fees are $100 for individuals and $400 for a group up to 6 people. Whether you're an avid golfer, a water enthusiast, wanderlust lover or simply seeking relaxation, The Cozy Cub provides the perfect backdrop for your ideal vacation.

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire cabin through a keyless entry system. The lower level basement is not for guest use and will remain locked and unoccupied during your stay.
Guests will have self-check-in starting at 4pm with check-out at 11am. Hosts will not be onsite, but are reachable 24/7 with any questions or concerns.
Other things to note
For your comfort, we limit guest count to 6 adults or 8 people total (including children).
Smoking is prohibited inside The Cozy Cub. If you must smoke, please do so outside and ensure windows/doors are closed and you take special care to prevent fires and smoke from drifting in. Please pick up all cigarette butts before departure.
During snow season, the driveway will be plowed when 6” of snow falls, but we cannot guarantee that the public roads will be cleared in the same manner. Please be prepared with 4x4 vehicles and/or chains/cables. No refunds will be available for winter conditions, including in the event of power outages.
Power outages are common in the area. No refunds will be given in the event of a power outage.
Please no excessive noise, music, parties, or rowdy behavior. Please do not disturb the neighbors.
Please do not leave food inside your vehicles, or trash bags outside the cabin. Please secure trash in the bearbox.
The Cozy Cub is not ADA accessible. There are railroad tie steps leading from the parking area down to the entry door. Bed height at 35" may be problematic for guests with mobility constraints.
Verizon cell phone service works well, however, please download directions for offline use prior to arrival and ensure you make note of the front door code that will be provided prior to your reservation.
There is a Tesla charging station 1.3 miles away at Big Trees Market.

Pet Policy
We are delighted to welcome your furry friends to our home! To ensure a comfortable stay for everyone, we kindly ask you to follow our pet policy:
• Accepted Pets: Dogs only, limited to 2 dogs under 35 lbs.
• Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate cats or other pets.
• Cleanliness: Guests must clean up after their dogs both inside and outside.
• Please use the Bearbox to dispose of all waste to protect the natural environment and local wildlife.
• Supervision: Dogs must not be left unattended unless they are securely crated indoors.
• For their safety and the care of our home, dogs are not allowed on furniture or bedding.
• Damage Reporting: Guests are responsible for any damages caused by their dogs.
• Please report any incidents or damage immediately so we can address it promptly.
• Consideration for Neighbors: Excessive barking or disruptive behavior is not permitted.
• Please be mindful of our neighbors and the peaceful nature of our community.
• Additional Fees: A pet fee per stay will be applied to cover additional cleaning and maintenance.
• Additional fees may apply for unreported damages or excessive cleaning needs.

In the event of a violation of the House Rules, Host reserves the right to immediately cancel the reservation without refund and/or institute a $150 fine per incident, or $150 per unregistered guest and/or pet. In the event that you do not register your pet, you will be charged both the pet fee and pet fine.
