Staying at Philippe’s place in Eisenschmitt felt like stepping into a Jane Austen novel—absolutely magical. The house is half of a beautifully preserved old building, with Philippe living in the other half. Every detail was chosen with care: a charming mix of antiques and modern touches, fresh flowers, and even a bottle of champagne to welcome us. Philippe was a wonderful host—present when needed, but always respectful of our privacy. The house sits next to a babbling creek, and it’s incredibly peaceful. We had access to half the yard, which our dog absolutely loved. Philippe is very dog-friendly—our dog had a big, comfy bed, a welcome treat, and plenty of space to run. We also really enjoyed the valley the village is set in—quiet and picturesque, with a beautiful hiking path leading to an old abbey and a lovely little bakery. It's also just a short drive to the Manderscheid castle or the nearby volcanic lakes (the Maare). A truly special place to relax and recharge.

We greatly enjoyed Maria and Alex's place. The house has everything you need, even a nice sunny balcony. Comfortable and clean. We cycled and the bikes were allowed inside, very nice. Maria thanks for everything and certainly also for the nice attention we found in the fridge! We'd love to come back.

Really a 10/10. It's a nice quiet place with nothing missing. We were on a motorcycle vacation and stopped there for 3 days. The bikes were able to stay dry and safe. Should I be in the area again, I'd love to come back!

Communication with Claudia was quick, friendly and straightforward. The accommodation is very clean and fully equipped: two comfortable beds, an armchair, dining table, TV and a small kitchenette with everything you need – incl. Kettle, connectable stove, coffee, tea and iron. The bathroom is also very clean and equipped with shower gel, towels, hair dryer and everything you need. Claudia has thought of everything, there is even a folder with helpful information about the accommodation, the surroundings, bakeries, sights and the accessibility of the hosts. The house rules ensure a high level of cleanliness, which makes the stay very pleasant. The property is located in a quiet residential area, about 30 minutes by car from Trier. You have your own entrance to the converted basement of the house, which offers a lot of privacy. The car can be conveniently parked on the terrace.
