Enjoying the large garden, making friends with cat Willem, looking for an egg every day with the kids, baking mud pies, jumping on the trampoline and sitting by the fire on the covered terrace in the evening. For us 4 adults and 2 kids this was the perfect vacation. Many thanks to Joanne and her family for their hospitality, generosity and all the thoughtful details.

Maxime's small container is in the middle of nature surrounded by fields. You're all by yourself. The highlight is the sunrise over the fields. The property belongs to the farm where Maxime lives with her family. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. An all-round fantastic place for a break where you feel very secure at the same time. By bike, there are very beautiful places in nature in the area and Groningen is also easy to reach. A clear recommendation!!

We stayed at het magische meerhuisje for two nights and really enjoyed it. The space felt very private, even with the few other houses surrounding eachother. If the weather would’ve allowed I know we really would’ve enjoyed the lake that lays in front of the outside part. Everything was clean and fresh upon arrival. We also enjoyed the closeness to the city Groningen. A great place to stay for a few nights if you are looking for a peaceful stay!

We had a great time at David and his family's garden house. The family themselves weren't there at first, so we had the whole garden to ourselves, which was particularly great. Once they were back, however, it was also easy to share the garden and they were always available for tips and a little chat. The house itself was very nice, somewhat minimalistically furnished, probably equipped more for a weekend trip than for a whole week as a family. All in all, a quiet and beautiful garden house in a great neighbourhood and within easy cycling distance of Groningen.

Cozy Scandinavian cottage with views over the fields. Very nice place to relax and unwind. Jan Willem is very helpful and also gave us nice tips in the area. Beautiful to see how Jan Willem & Inge make it a paradise with a large vegetable garden with a lot of attention to nature. Recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at this fantastic house! It is really perfectly appointed – everything you need is there, and it is super clean and spacious. The house is a real retreat to relax with lots of great extras such as the boat, whirlpool and perfectly equipped kitchen. The location is just ideal and our children felt very comfortable there – they even fell asleep quickly, which speaks for the comfort. Overall an absolute dream that we would book again at any time. Highly recommended!

What a wonderful place! A hidden gem. The house has everything you need. The washer and dryer (in the shed) are great to have. The backyard with deck and dock is more than beautiful. We rented bikes at Oomkens Bike Shop, great service, great bikes (20 minutes walk from the house). The houses are behind a locked gate (need a code to get in), that adds to extra feeling of safety. We felt totally spoiled staying there. We will definitely come again!

The place was especially clean, easy to find, so comfortable and home like! We visited with my bf and our two friends and loved the place completely. You can see it all in the photos, everything was exactly like pictured. Klaas is the nicest host we could ask for. We needed emergency cigarettes and not only did Klaas tell us where to buy them, but also borrowed a bike to my friend and pointed her precisely in the direction! The surrounding nature is beautiful and there is a nice place to dine just a few minutes away. Thank you so much for this experience, we will be coming back!

Beautiful and quiet place. The cats are also very friendly and easy going. The view over the water is amazing and the house feels cozy and cozy. Definitely recommended.

We loved the semi rural setting that was a safe 15 minute bike ride to the beautiful and bustling city centre. Our family visited us (total of 6 people in the house) during our stay, and there was plenty of space. 100% recommended.

The cottage felt like home. We have relaxed in the quiet forest. I managed to let go of the daily and come to myself. And how dark it is at night! The cottage has everything. Coziness, warmth and indeed with all the comforts. Good airing was necessary, because it got damp in the cottage very quickly. We went home again with an inspired mind. Thanks! And we will definitely be back.

Gezina was a very nice and welcoming host. We really enjoy our stay and definitely recommend this lovely place. Beautiful and cozy accommodation. The photos reflect the place very much. Aagje is very nice and helpful. The surroundings are idyllic and you can quickly get to Groningen by car and can explore the region excellently. We were there for a few days in November. It was very cozy with the log fire. The caravan is fully equipped and spacious. There's nothing missing. At night, when the fire is out, it can get cold in the caravan quickly. There are electric heating blankets in the beds. The heating blankets helped well against the cold, but with an extra heater for the bedroom it would have been better. The caravan is on the premises of a beautiful farm where there are horses. From the living room, you have great views of the countryside and watch horses on the paddock. All in all a great place to stay and recommended.

we were brought the last bit over the sandy path because our car was not suitable for that (it had rained a lot), because of this it immediately felt like we were really gone. The area is beautiful, lots of peace and space and opportunities to go into nature. The cottage was a cozy place to return after an autumn walk with a fireplace and candles on. The kitchen is very complete also with herbs/oil/tea/utensils and nice crockery. We loved our stay!
