Cabin vacation rentals in George Washington National Forest

The cabin was really nice with comfortable accommodations and everything you need. There is a road that runs in front of and behind the cabin that has quite a bit of traffic on the weekend as the road is an entrance to a park/campground and it was a holiday weekend. This was a benefit to us though as we love to hike and could walk to or drive within a couple of minutes to several really great trails! Having the heated in ground pool for my daughter was amazing and when we had some issues with Bees the owners handled it right away. This is definitely a cabin in the woods by the water so come prepared with bug repellant. We did venture out to some local wineries and a lavender farm/winery but would have been just as content to enjoy the cabin and the property! Overall we really enjoyed this place and would totally go back when we are visiting the Harrisonburg area.

Beautiful home in an amazing setting! The house had everything needed and the property was even better than the photos. Very quiet and private. Host was friendly and responsive. Can’t recommend enough!

Corey’s place is the perfect quiet and private getaway. We had a fantastic vacation here-the house was spotless, and the peaceful atmosphere made it easy to relax. Our pets absolutely loved exploring the spacious yard and lounging by the fire pits. Corey was incredibly friendly and super responsive, always quick to answer any questions and make sure we had everything we needed. We truly felt at home, and it was such a treat to find a spot that’s both pet-friendly and so well cared for. We’ll definitely be back the next time we visit Shenandoah National Park!

Just got home from our little get away. The cabin was wonderful! Had everything we wanted. The view waking up to from the bedroom window was breathtaking. The kitchen had everything you could need and the view from that huge picture window was beautiful! We enjoyed the large hot tub and made good use of the pool table. The weather wasn't the best and got a little chilly but the fireplace helped with that. This weekend was exactly what we needed....Beauty, relaxation and peace! Thanks Mark!

Our stay at Timber Creek Falls was nothing short of magical. Man this place was perfect. Exactly what we was looking for. Way nicer in person. On the side of a mountain basically by itself. Few houses around but never seen or heard anyone. Right In between seneca rocks and seneca caverns. First time trying Airbnb and ill definitely be back. Good restaurant at seneca caverns. Take a paper map for exploring 😉. Cabin is perfect. We enjoyed our stay very much. Our two girls were happy to run around the yard and play in the little playground. The house was clean, neat, and homey. The view is spectacular. The hot tub was plus. Jan even put a sign that said happy birthday for my husband. So thoughtful! thank you, Jan! Sylvia

Loved our stay here!! Would come back again in a heartbeat, this was such a beautiful space with a wonderfully responsive host. We ended up having a bit of broken glass at the property & immediately the host made sure that we were safe & got someone out to clean it up! Wonderful host, wonderful space, & a wonderful experience

This rustic, cozy cabin was the perfect spot for an impromptu weekend in the mountains for our family. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipt. It was cold outside but heating worked well! So appreciated the little conveniences provided, like dishwasher and laundry soap, paper towels & clear, easy checkout instructions. Great location in easy drive to Davis main street and skiing. Laura was a super responsive host. Would def return!

A Restorative Gem with Every Detail Thoughtfully Covered This stay was everything I didn’t know I needed — peaceful, grounding and beautifully designed. I left feeling like a lighter, more refreshed version of myself. My little Pomeranian diva, Cartier, absolutely loved it too — she strutted around like she owned the place and found all the best sunny spots to lounge in! The views were stunning and I especially loved catching the morning sun on the front porch with a cup of tea— such a beautiful, grounding way to start the day. The hot tub was the perfect way to wind down and take it all in. As someone who’s a bit Type A, I deeply appreciated the clear instructions, labeled light switches and intuitive layout — it made settling in feel effortless. Every detail — from the well-organized cabinets to the thoughtful amenities — made the experience stress-free and cozy. I’ve already shared the listing with friends and family. That’s how special this place is. We’ll absolutely be back!

Very much enjoyed a short but sweet stay in this cabin! Appreciated the little touches including both fireplaces being set up for use upon arrival & maps of the area being laid out on the kitchen island. This quiet, pet-friendly Airbnb was a great escape for the weekend. Thank you for having us 🙂

Easy to rent and get to. Everything on the first floor was wheelchair accessible for my wife. My dachshund even enjoyed the access too. Very relaxing sitting on the two porches watching the many deer. Everything was enjoyable and relaxing. Very professional workers when they contacted me to check the hot tub several times.

Great spot! Hope very much to return. Pros: very nicely appointed cabin. Not luxury but pretty close! Has all the things you need to make an enjoyable stay. Incredibly good access to hiking, both on foot straight from cabin and by taking a short drive. We really enjoyed the bonfire pit and the supply of firewood. We went in the winter and it was nice to get a bit of snow. Would probably be gorgeous bird watching and such in the summer. Really nice to be surrounded by nothing but trees. Felt like we had a whole mountain to ourselves. Cons: I am noise sensitive, and I did find the main cabin to be pretty close quarters. So if you’re like me or are seeking privacy or quiet amongst a loud group of folks, maybe something to think about. Also not the easiest kitchen to make a big meal (no dishwasher, small drying rack) but we definitely made it work for 5 people. Also to note — we had a couple 2WD cars that made it up the hill to the cabin, but we brought them back down hill for snow

Our family had the best time here! Loved the yurt! There is a creek across the street that the children played in, we fished in the pond, played baseball in the meadow, had a campfire under the stars. The beds were super comfortable, we enjoyed the privacy and the beauty of the area. We hope to go back and stay longer next time! Well appointed kitchen, super clean home, responsive host, beautiful views through the many windows, private stay yet close to activities. It’s a gem, for sure!

It's a ways back in the woods, but this place is perfect for those seeking a quiet, peaceful woodland retreat with no one else in sight. (It's a bit of a challenge finding the turn up the driveway in the dead of the night, but I do it all the time in the Appalachian hills.) We all loved the screened-in porch and fire pit. (And I almost made off with the meditating Sasquatch figure.) The curly metal staircase to the second floor bedroom may be a challenge to anyone with mobility or tight-space issues, along with the cramped commode up there. But the bedroom itself is cozy. Great windows and views all around in the place. There were four of us in our entourage and we all wish to return!

Buck's Run was a beautiful cabin tucked away in the Shenandoah. It was a peaceful getaway for my friends and we enjoyed lounging about playing board games, reading, soaking in the hot tub, and staring out into the woods as the snow fell. Jen was very proactive in making sure we were going to be ok with the incoming storm and Pete their local manager was very responsive with questions we had.

Had a great stay at Jennifer and Ian’s cabin. We enjoyed all the activities and access to the river, the hosts are very nice and accommodating

The cabin was wonderful and very convenient for skiing. Our driveway was plowed very early. The hut tub was fantastic. Overall, everything we wanted and we look forward to returning.

We had a fantastic stay at Levi’s place. The creek is clean and beautiful, Levi is very friendly and helpful, the cabin was very clean and neat and laid out as expected from the pictures. The front porch is a nice size. I loved hearing the stream in the evening and we all enjoyed the cows and horses in the field. It was not a problem at all but because we booked through Airbnb and had not checked out his outfitting site, I was not aware that there were also camping sites and it is possible you have will have RV’s and/or tent campers around you. We have a pop up ourselves so I don’t have a problem with that, but I wasn’t expecting it. We stayed mid week in April so only a couple camping sites were in use and weren’t next to us but I am sure it fills certain times of the year. Also, it is creek side but if there are paying fishers in the creek you need to be respectful of their space. We had a great time at the pond and appreciated the use of kayaks, paddle boat, and paddle board

Our stay was delightful, the cabin was beautiful, and Shaleen was incredibly flexible and responsive when we were hit with inclement weather. We hope to be back soon!
