The Cottage is downtown Hafnarfjörður, close to the harbour, a walking distance from Restaurants, Coffee shops, Tourist info, cute little shops, supermarket and a central bus stop. Taking a SAUNA after a long day is a real treat and the "outside" shower is a great experience, if you don't fancy outdoor shower you are welcome to use inside shower. The outside shower is though inside with all the privacy needed.

It is conveniently located approximately 20 minutes from Reykjavík and is also situated in the perfect location for day trips to the Golden Circle, Vik, the Reykjanes Peninsula and more. The place was well stocked with tea, coffee, salt, pepper etc., lots of towels and maps/visitor guides to help us plan out our days. I was a little unsure how I was going to feel about the outside shower since we visited in the middle of winter but it was a great feature! If you don’t want to shower outside they allow you to shower inside their home. Overall the accommodations were perfect for our week in Iceland and I would definitely stay here again!”

She opened her entire home to strangers and the location is ideal, about 20 minutes outside of the Reykjavík downtown core. She was very sweet and we had many laughs during our conversations.
