The house is lovely, is well equipped and was spotlessly clean. It felt like a home rather than just a house. It was easy to park outside. Bishop Auckland is a great place to visit. We wish we were there for longer

We really enjoyed our stay in this cozy and nicely furnished accommodation. Kate was super nice and responded quickly to our questions. We even found some snacks for us and even the dog when we arrived - huge plus, thanks again!

Just wanted to thank Steve and Jane for our recent stay, we only stayed one night as we were passing through on our way somewhere else but the property was spotlessly clean and very welcoming. The kitchen was well stocked with everything that you would need, including tea, coffee milk, not to mention cereal, salt, pepper and ketchup etc. It really was a home away from home and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again and/or recommend it to others. Thanks again.

I stayed in Gary's lovely flat for a week. I wanted to spend several days visiting the Auckland project, and use the buses to visit places of interest such a Durham and Stanhope and Barnards Castle. The location, in the main street, opposite the bus stop, suited me perfectly. It was a 10 minutes walk down to the Market Square and Auckland Palace, the Tower, the Park and museums and galleries, and 5 mins walk up the street to Morrisons. Gary and Fiona very kindly met me off the train and helped me with my luggage introduced me in person to the flat
