Absolutely loved our stay here! If you're someone who enjoys being close to nature and traveling with your dog, this place is perfect. The surroundings are peaceful and green. Fabiola was super friendly and made everything easy from check-in to check-out. The house rules were clear and straightforward, which made the whole experience stress-free. We felt really welcomed and comfortable the entire time. All in all, a great stay—we’d definitely come back!

The cabin was breathtaking, with a history painted and photographed among her walls. Perfect amount of space to accommodate a family should you have one. The morning sunrise was spiritual, and humbling. Host was incredibly friendly and accommodating for our dog. Arjuna. Will absolutely be returning. Thank you for an amazing and beautiful experience.

What a cool house! Very unassuming from the pictures. It's like a time capsule -- shag carpet, retro wallpaper, vintage fixtures and paneling. Although old, everything was clean upon arrival. I love old things so I enjoyed the aesthetic, although for someone with heavy allergies or sensitivities, the age and moisture may be something to consider. That being said, I have chronic allergies and sinusitis and I would 100% stay here again. The property itself is the focal point and the draw. It's set on a point of the cove where you can hear and see the seals in the distance, and you feel like you're on an island. While we were there, the sun came up at 4:30 every morning and we were out on the back deck at 4:45 with coffee in hand. So peaceful and serene! Use of their kayaks and life vests was an added bonus -- note to self, the islands in the distance are further than they look!! :) The kitchen was well equipped for cooking, and we enjoyed the use of the back grill. Lovely home!

Although rainy, had the perfect weekend renting Allen’s RV- great location with lots to explore in the area! Allen was always quick to respond to our questions. We ended up arriving after midnight our 1st night, he left the outside string lights on for us which was very much appreciated! RV was nice and clean, roomier than I thought it would be- would definitely rent again!

We loved our stay! Everything was as described and we had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook several meals. The view is absolutely beautiful from all parts of the house and we loved the outdoor amenities. Lucy was very responsive and gave us some great recommendations! Would love to come back!

So peaceful but off season. So not sure how it would be with lots of traffic and people. But the private deck and entrance was wonderful. The water view couldn’t have been more up close and personal with the beautiful harbor. The place was clean and cozy. Perfect lighting. Didn’t watch tv once. A convenient common room for extra supplies or a cup of coffee. Staff was very friendly when we were checking out. No front desk attendant and none needed. They answer messages quickly!

I had an amazing stay at the Islesboro Boathouse! The location was incredibly quiet and peaceful — a perfect getaway if you're looking to relax and recharge. The setting was beautiful, and I truly felt removed from the hustle and bustle. Mark was an incredible host — so kind and helpful, especially with navigating the ferry and anything else I needed. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend!

Beautiful and peaceful setting. We took advantage and had lobster on the picnic table overlooking the beautiful cove. Enjoyed swimming and watching sunsets. Ended up having a great dinner at Blaze. Host was so responsive with any questions we had. Would definitely stay again.

My husband and I, and our two pups had a fantastic time in the Carriage House for a week. Part of a breathtaking private/secret compound on the water…with the most incredible private tidal pool. The place is so authentic, which is what we love about staying in ME when we can escape. We were so blessed to find Margaret’s place last minute. Margaret’s mother, Sally, and her husband were in the main Kate’s house. So so sweet they were to us and our girls. A dog paradise. We are foodies. Plenty of good restaurants around - just a few minutes to the adorable village of Stonington. Around the corner is one of the best restaurants in the country - Aragosta. We can’t wait to return…hopefully, in the Fall. A trip we will always remember. Thank you, Margaret & Family.

This stay was absolutely beautiful!!! It looked EXACTLY like the photos, maybe even better! It’s right on the water with a gorgeous view. If you like swimming in your own front yard and sitting up in bed to stunning landscape, this is the stay for you. We spent our time relaxing in one of the most comfortable beds Ive had at any hotel/airbnb, swimming in the water right off the dock, and watching wildlife right from the porch. The area is a large property with multiple stays, and while we passed our neighbors a few times we still had tons of privacy. This would be the perfect location for large groups wanting to rent the entire property/multiple stays on the property. We will hopefully be back in the future with the whole family!

My return visit to the Boathouse was even lovelier than I hoped it would be. The location can't be matched by anything else I've seen. I enjoyed a September visit with my dog and was lucky to have pristine weather. I lived a very simple and healthy outdoors life and came home the better for it. The Boathouse is true to its description: it is simple and rustic and uncomplicated but well-equipped, and is perfect for one-and-dog, or for two people. A little coming-and-going from the neighboring houses meant that I didn't feel isolated. Margaret is truly an exceptional and friendly host who communicates promptly and clearly. I almost hesitate to share "my" Boathouse location with too many of my back-home friends because it feels so intimate and special. I already want to be back there. I offer my deep thanks to Margaret and to the place that I could - briefly - call home.

Three girlfriends and I stayed at Hillside for a week. The setting and location were absolutely beautiful. It was so quiet and peaceful and I loved walking the trail. The house was roomy and comfortable. We highly recommend!!

We had such a lovely stay in Andrew's airbnb. Everything is just as described. The space is very peaceful, clean, and comfortable. Location was convenient and Belfast is a very walkable town. Would definitely stay there again if in the area.

One of my favorite Airbnb hands down!! It was just as pictures described, very peaceful, and extremely clean. My husband and I wanted to get away from the hustle & bustle but still have the attraction of vacationing close by. We loved this cottage!! I recommend 100%

The cottage is amazing! Great little getaway. Pay attention to the host’s instructions, and make sure you bring your provisions. Recommend biking/hiking to Fine Sand Beach. Could have spent an entire day there. Fresh lobster sold at the co-op. Don’t expect Tim’s (the market) to have much in way of food drink. Also, the transfer station isn’t open every day, so you might need to bring it back to Bar Harbor transfer station. Again, LOVED it and will definitely come back.

My husband and I cannot say enough great things about Angela and The Nub! We spent a perfect week there, breathing in the fresh ocean air and gazing at the beautiful views, which included seals, a Bald Eagle, an Anhinga, and many other wonderful things! The house is perfect, cozy with new beds and pillows, good water pressure, and lots of light. It is completely private and boasts a huge deck, and well-stocked kitchen, and on-site laundry. There are more than 250 great hiking trails minutes from the front door, as well as countless great restaurants at all price points (don't miss Abels' Lobster Pound literally two minutes away), interesting museums, and fun shopping. Angela was the perfect host; there when we needed her, but not when we didn't. Not only was she friendly and knowledgeable, but she left us lots of delicious local treats! If we could give her 100 stars, we would :) Thanks, Angela!! We will be back.

We absolute loved our time at this beautiful cottage! Denise and Ernie could not have been nicer or more welcoming. They greeted us upon checkin and gave us a full tour and shared some great local history and area recommendations as well. The cottage had everything we needed and more- the love and heart the owners put into this beautiful retreat is evident. It was the perfect home-base as we explored Acadia and the surrounding area with our boys. We highly recommend to others and hope to return soon!

A gem of a place to call home for our visit to ANP! We loved the picturesque views from inside. Being on the quieter side of the island was a treat, and we enjoyed discovering all the different sights. Highly recommend!
