You’ll love my place because of the quiet area and the coziness. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids). Current River & Jack's Fork are 2 famous rivers close by for kayaking & canoeing. Fishing on Sims Lake, horse back riding if you bring the horse of course . Also a place to put your horse ! ATV trail. If you like to hike, trails are close .You will love the large fire pit just outside the cabin with wood to fuel a fire! West Plains Willow Springs close .
“Great place to get away, enjoy the scenic river ways, and relax away from the chaos of life. If visiting in June or May make sure to thoroughly check for ticks after being outdoors! We visited several state and NPS parks, enjoyed hiking, and went canoeing. I recommend calling caves before expecting to visit them, as big spring cave was closed and it was not posted on their website. Highly recommend Arnold’s 21 burgers located in Mountain View. Excellent food at great price! Cell reception is not good at the cabin, but you can get WiFi from the nearby McDonalds in Mountain View. Also note that the cabin toilet is not very private. It works for family, but would be awkward if multiple couples stayed at the cabin. Paula is very helpful and is a great host!”
Nestled in the heart of the Ozark Hills, our stone cabin offers guests a secluded place to unwind and enjoy nature. Our cabin has running hot water, but no electricity or a flushing toilet. The outhouse is a short walk away and propane lamps provide lighting. The cabin is accessible by a private, half-mile gravel trail. It is best if guests have a four-wheel-drive or high profile two-wheel drive vehicle.
“If you are looking for a place to unwind and unplug than Renee's cabin is the place to go. She has thought of everything from a cool down pool to fishing poles to snacks. The cabin was absolutely beautiful, there is no electricity so prepare for that but there is running hot and cold water and I felt more relaxed. 5 star recommend!”
This cozy little cabin is located just .3 miles from Montauk State Park, and the river is just a quick walk down the hill. The beautiful Current River has some of the best trout and fly fishing in the Midwest. Montauk is known for the fantastic fishing, canoeing, hiking, biking, swimming, and caving. We now offer shuttle service to the river and from the airport. The deck and hot tub offer an amazing view of the stars. We also have coffee and cookies.
“My girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The cabin is awesome. It's great for a relaxing getaway for a small number of people. The layout of the cabin is perfect and very compact. It is amazing how much utility is packed in with the kitchen area, table, chairs, bunk bed, and bath. Yet it doesn't feel cramped at all. We liked the cozy cabin aesthetic. Sharon left a variety of coffee and granola bars, etc, and also board games and yard games. We went kayaking one day. And we went to Devil's Well and hiking based off of a recommendation from Sharon's son. He gave good recommendations about the area and was friendly. We also went swimming at Tan Vat in Montauk State Park. We aren't big fishers, but I can see why the cabin would be a great spot to rest after a day of fishing with all of the near by river access. There is WiFi as well. It worked well. We watched a movie or two before going to bed at night. (Note: the area has poor to no cellular service for Verizon, but my girlfriend had great service with AT&T). We also enjoyed the grill, firepit, and camp table out front. We had a fantastic time and we would definitely visit again.”
