Vacation rentals with a fireplace in El Portil

We greatly loved our stay at this lovely home! The house was equipped with every comfort, spotless and offered plenty of space, both indoors and outdoors. With nice places to sit and a beautiful swimming pool, this stay was an ideal base for a relaxing vacation with children. They found the fresh water no problem at all (which is logical given the time of year)! The location is pleasant, a short drive from Tavira and other beautiful places in the area. However, car is necessary. The house can be found, especially if you go through the route instructions in advance. The host was very friendly and helpful, which made our stay extra pleasant. A small point of attention: in the area there are quite a few dogs that bark regularly. It took some getting used to. But of course it is something the host has no control over and did not bother enough to detract from our positive experience. In short: a nice, complete and clean stay!

Our family (my husband, two daughters, and I) had the most wonderful time at this beautiful countryside Airbnb! The property is set in a peaceful, scenic location, surrounded by nature and endless charm. We enjoyed sitting in the garden just listening to nature. One of the highlights for us was being able to pick fresh oranges right from the trees — making our own juice each morning was such a special experience that our girls will never forget. We loved walking/running the paths nearby. Our host was available if we needed anything and gave us good recommendations for restaurants and activites. This was one of the most relaxing and memorable family trips we’ve had.

Such a nice house and nice surroundings with oranges around the corner! Perfect house for us, who were there as a larger group. Nice rooms and perfect with larger social areas where everyone could hang out and the kids play. Extra plus for the order in the kitchen and an incredibly helpful and accommodating host!

David and Megan took our booking at very short notice and were very helpful throughout. The house is lovely -- very homely and there were lots of useful basics left behind by others, as well as a welcome pack of coffee etc. (Refreshing to have a filter machine, not Nespresso!) Bathroom both upstairs and downstairs. Excellent loo paper -- shows a generous attitude!Comfortable beds. I'm sure the outside shower would be a bonus in high summer. Because we were a late booking, David and Megan regretted not being able to greet us, so they made the effort to come along on our last day, to say hello/goodbye! What a difference from the too-big commercial outfits, where the space isn't homely and the minimum is provided! We would definitely return and Tavira is a delight. (Go to the Fado in the church.)

Being pensioners in our mid seventies we love the peace and quiet of La Antilla during February & March & return each winter. Pillar was a great host communicating to us through AirBnb.

It was a great family experience, we loved the house, the place is quiet and close to the city, the host was friendly and attentive at all times, we would repeat without hesitation.

We had a wonderful holiday. The house is very nice and we immediately felt comfortable. The location is perfect, in a few minutes you are at the beautiful beach and reach numerous cafes and restaurants. Great for holidays with a toddler. Cátia welcomed us personally and very warmly and gave helpful tips. Currently (May 25), there is a construction site next door, which is quite noisy during the day. It didn't bother us because we were on the road anyway during that time. But if you want peace and quiet at home, you have to expect noise. I'm sure we'll be back! ☺️

Great experience! Elizabeth was super welcoming and it was the perfect location to enjoy a few days in Tavira. Clean and very comfortable for 4 people.

In our travels through Portugal, this was absolutely the best place we stayed. Marcio’s place is very spacious, very clean, and has the feeling of being in a real home. There is a large outdoor patio where we enjoyed hanging out. And even though we were in a central location, the apartment was peaceful and quiet. Marcio was very easy to communicate with, and even when we locked ourselves out of the apartment, he was extremely kind and helpful. I can’t recommend this place enough. It was fabulous!!

We had a very nice week as a family of three in Casa Regina, Apartment 2. We were able to sit comfortably on the large terrace. The kitchen was equipped with everything you need. We were able to use the pool and garden nicely. Washing machine great. Andrew and his mother Lurdes were very responsive and communicative. In case of problems with the shower, they responded quickly and there were cookies and wine as a small compensation. When booking, Andrew also points out that it is a quiet residential unit. It is actually important to consider this, as the apartments are quite close to each other. Apartment 3 adjoins the large bedroom and, depending on the neighbors, it can also be a bit noisy. You can also always hear the street, but at night it is relatively quiet and also at the pool it is idyllic. It should also be mentioned that the entrance from apartment 1 leads to the terrace of apartment 2. We had very nice neighbors, so it wasn't disturbing for us.

The space is very beautiful and quiet has a wonderful sunset is a little away from the center but by car is close it has all the amenities we were very well received by Carlos and his family and whenever we requested some help or hint quickly replied to us. Great space for resting with family,we love and recommend it.

We had a fantastic stay at Fatima's beautiful property. It exceeded our expectations, offering privacy, stunning peaceful surroundings, ample facilities on site and easy access to surrounding beaches and towns. Our children spent much of their time in the swimming pools, but our highlight was the amazing farm kitchen where we collected coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice and warm baked bread every morning along with a variety of fruits from the farm surrounding the property. Fatima and her team were exceptional hosts. Considerate, helpful and quick to respond. We were welcomed as old friends and given a guided tour on arrival, then left with space and privacy. Any questions that arose were answered quickly, we were even offered fresh cakes one morning! We would return in a heartbeat, thank you so much Fatima!

Great service from Tamsin when we had to return home due to family bereavement. Have stayed in the past, no car needed central for all Tavira restaurants.

Amazing experience in this villa. The Host was exceptional always there to respond and take care of things and it shows that he cares about the place. I would recommend this to anyone. Place was clean and cozy. In a very private development. If I ever get a chance will book it again. I already forwarded to few friends in London to have that experience. Thanks Mr Helder. We had a very nice stay in Altura. The house was spacious and appropriately furnished. For the children, the pool was the highlight. Karine always responded to us very quickly and kindly. After a storm shreds a parasol, there was a replacement right away.

José and Catiá were very welcoming and available for our stay at 12 in their house, especially to quickly remedy small problems (a problem with opening the door for example). they were also accommodating on our arrival time and we thank them very much. Their accommodation is beautiful, very functional and very very well maintained, it is very pleasant to stay in. The only negative point that does not depend on our hosts is the many construction works in the neighborhood that cause some morning noise disturbances but otherwise everything was great! Thanks!

This house was perfect for our holiday. It is very clean and well equipped and it is also within walking distance of Tavira town, so we could go out for dinner and have a few drinks without worrying about taxis or Ubers. It is facing the pool, and we enjoyed setting just outside the house on the deckchairs most days. Highly recommended! Thank you very much!

A beautiful villa with a huge pool surrounded by beautiful countryside. The kids loved exploring & the hosts were very responsive with a few issues which arose. We would love to return!

Great house located within walking distance to the beach and local restaurants. Air conditioning in every room, fully equipped kitchen and 3 toilets each with a shower/bath. Owner answers questions very quickly and was very welcoming. Very quiet area with plenty of parking right next to the house. Recommend for anyone visiting Altura, will definitely rent again in the future.
