Vacation rentals with an EV charger in Dumfries and Galloway

Just had an incredible weekend break at Jenny's gorgeous accommodation. I have seen other reviews saying that the photos and description doesn't do this place justice and I totally agree. The lodge had everything we needed, was perfectly clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The views from the balcony are breathtaking!! The location is so picturesque, peaceful and clean and extremely close to Keswick. We took full advantage of the gym, swimming pool, sauna and hot tub, which was a brilliant way to start/finish the day. Also highly recommend the White Horse pub, where I have eaten the best chicken burger ever! Jenny, thank you for the kind and thoughtful treats. We highly recommend your place to anyone!! xxx

We booked this accom very last minute(3hrs before we checked in), and turned out to be a great choice. Having never heard of Whitbarrow Village we did not know what to expect and was very pleased to find this apartment was part of a larger holiday village complex. The apartment was very well kitted out and had all mod cons you would want, some cleaning products and tea/coffee bits,plus a nice outdoor seating area and close access to the pool and games areas. The main reception building was very clean and the pool facilities were fantastic as well as the kids games area & cinema room (9yr old with us). Only a 15 min drive to Keswick or Penrith made it a great location just off the A66 but so peaceful & quiet. Friendly on-site staff and well maintained garden areas. Overall a great little find and will definetly stay at Whitbarrow Village again.

Perfect setting for pristine accommodation. The 'container' lodge was impeccably clean, very fresh looking with a cozy but modern vibe to it. Living area sliding doors are a nice touch, well equipped kitchen and all necessary utensils available. Another nice touch was how good the shower was ! The simple things in life ! Hot tub and fire pit area well thought out for both privacy and protection from wind on breezy nights, and like the inside of the lodge also impeccably clean. Highly recommend for escaping from the world for a few days, and will certainly look to book again . Every part hassle free and communication of instructions & help couldnt have been better. A well deserved 10/10

What a truly wonderful little place, there is so much to do for the kids and my two really did enjoy it! The apartment was absolutely stunning, spotless and also very spacious. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to book a trip away to the lakes be it with children or without. We will definitely be coming back!

Lovely apartment for our Lake District stay. Clean, bright and very comfortable, it formed a perfect base for what we wanted to do in the area. It's on a holiday complex so we could sometimes hear other people from the lovely patio area but this wasn't overly intrusiv, and the view is lovely. We ate in the on-site restaurant once which was fine. There is lots of free parking and four EV chargers which we used twice. The attractions of Ullswater, Derwent Water and Keswick are within easy reach - on a wet day we visited the Keswick Pencil Museum which we have not got round to on previous visits and found it surprisingly good. Overall this is a very well kept apartment which formed a very comfortable base for our short stay.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay on the edge of Cockermouth. The location could not be more perfect to explore all the lakes have to offer, with the convenience of parking / walks from the doorstep and the beauty and calmness of being based just outside of the hustle of Cockermouth. The property exceeded our expectations, being tastefully decorated, in immaculate condition and with loads of extra little details that made the stay comfortable and relaxing. We stayed with my parents and 1 year old and they really catered to our needs with a highchair / cot etc., whilst still being a luxury property with comfy beds, fluffy towels and all the kitchen amenities you could ask for. We had such a wonderful time, we have already enquired again for next year. Our hosts could not have been more responsive, accommodating and helpful in providing local suggestions for restaurants and walks etc. We would highly recommend this property, you will not be disappointed!

Two words to describe Bonshaw Grange - "Flawless" and "Perfection." This is no ordinary stay, this is a unique experience that transports you to a magical place. Everything was perfect from start to finish. John was incredible from start to finish, with all the comms, responsive to messages, accomodated all requests. Went above and Beyond, and really contributed to making a 40th Birthday weekend celebration so very special. Everyone was blown away by the house, the gardens, the decor, the facilities - all truly luxe with no expense spared. The love, care and attention to every single detail is evident. I really congratulate John and Dan for creating such an amazing and beautiful space. I want to gatekeep this beautiful place but have already told so many friends & family. The children did not want to leave and already discussing our return and when we can book again and for longer! Truly Outstanding! Thank you so much for Everything!

Nice place, clean and nice view. Sufficient amenities and have a good and convenient car park. Linda always has prompt response and helpful. Flexible check in and visible instruction on getting WiFi and also got a lot of information of local place to visit. We all have a great time in staying there.

A Perfect Getaway! I stayed at this charming cottage and couldn’t be more pleased. The place was spotless, cozy, and beautifully decorated. Every little detail was thoughtfully arranged, from the well-equipped kitchen to the comfy beds. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and responsive, making the entire experience seamless. I highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing retreat — I’ll definitely be coming.

A beautifully well kept and presented large home from home. Well laid out with fully equipped kitchen. If you can’t find something, keep looking as the kitchen has everything. Large family bathroom with all rooms well proportioned. Amazing hosts who can’t do enough to make you feel welcome and ease you in to their property.

A fantastic break in this beautiful spacious lodge ‘Screel View’ with amazing views - fog aside! We really appreciated the festive touches as well the unexpected welcome treats - thank you Barabara. We loved the location and the local area. We needed the car to get our elders out and about yet there were plenty of ‘from the door walks’ for me and my husband. Lovely cafe with views The Ark in Kippford. A wonderful stay. Great communication from booking through to departure. I knew I could get a speedy response to any enquiry. A fabulous family holiday in the Lake District what more could you ask for but Karen’s home was the icing on the cake, a fab place to stay in an amazing location with lots to do in the area, the home was stunning with everything you could wish for, we felt right at home. Everything was available that we could of needed and more, the house was immaculate with great indoor space and outdoor space too, had the weather been more forgiving, a truly wonderful place to stay, highly recommended and we would definitely stay again. Having an electric car it was great to have the EV charger available to use, at no additional cost.

We had a wonderful stay at 59 Kirkgate in Dumfries. Ben and Vicky’s communication was excellent—friendly, helpful, and responsive. Their flexibility around our arrival and departure was much appreciated. The cottage is beautifully appointed and extremely comfortable, with standout beds that made for restful nights after active days outdoors. It’s a perfect base for exploring Dumfries and Galloway, from coastlines to hills. We especially enjoyed the Multiverse, which Ben and Vicky kindly recommended. The cottage has everything for a relaxing break—well-equipped kitchen, thoughtful touches like a gin trolley and milk frother, and a cosy log fire. The central heating kept things toasty too. Our dog was also warmly welcomed, with bowls and a pet-friendly vibe throughout. All in all, 59 Kirkgate is a true home away from home. We’d return in a heartbeat!

Absolutely stunning! Perfect get away and stay for the weekend. The views were absolutely stunning and the grounds of the hotel are beautiful too. So peaceful, you can really get away from everything. Unfortunately we didn’t get chance to explore too much as we didn’t have much time due to us taking part in the MacMillan Mighty Hike but we will 100% be back! Lovely stay! The view is stunning and the lambs playing while we drank tea was fantastic! We were provided recommendations for things to do in the area and even given a discount at the local Pub for mentioning the air BnB. Donna was lovely and friendly! We had everything we needed and a great stay! Would stay here again!

Donna’s place is beautiful. As soon as I arrived I felt at home, the place is super cosy with everything I needed. The bed is comfortable, shower is hot, there’s also a fire and heaters to stay warm. The views of the sheep in the field are so beautiful. I’d love to return in future.

Beautifully appointed room and extremely comfortable bed. Shower was a tight fit for a front row forward but manageable.

The loft apartment at Bowness House Farm exceeded our expectations- in fact the whole courtyard complex did. The apartment was beautifully styled and thought through with an excellent kitchen area, spacious en-suite, very comfortable sitting area and bed. We loved the details and finish- in fact I wish we’d been staying for a week rather than one night. Michelle, the manager, was welcoming and helpful. She also cooked our delicious breakfast this morning. The restaurant is full of warmth and character and we loved the inspirational sayings from 20th century icons ( including Nelson Mandela, Bob Marley and Stephen Hawking), the sparkling lights and the general ambience. We also throughly enjoyed our evening meal there. This was such a beautiful place I’d cycle the 150 miles back just to stay again !
