Monthly Rentals in Didi Ateni

We stayed here for one night during a one week trip to Georgia. It's a little further from Didi Ateni than we had realised but it is one of the most beautiful regions we have visited. Stunning, wild landscapes with nearby vineyards. The cabin is just like the photos - and it was great having the fire going - making it extra cosy. Wish we could have stayed longer!

The place is nice and clean, very spacious rooms and a comfortable shared seating area. The room had a TV on top of everything and the bed was very comfortable and cozy. Please note that the walls between them and the neighbours are thin, not that this created any problem. The bathroom was indeed spotless, and had a free to use washing machine which is always a plus. Overall, felt very psychologically and physically safe and comfortable. The only thing missing, if I were to be really picky, would be a microwave. Of course you can heat up food on the stove top, but perhaps a microwave could be a tiny tiny bit more convenient. However, the most important thing about this place was him, Avtandil (and his brother). He is a gem of a person, generous, excellent communicator, helped me tremendously from coming to pick me up from the station because I arrived late at night to calling the local bus station to aid in planning my journey ahead. And I got to try his home made wine as well.

The place was in a beautiful new building. The code needed for the elevator was a bit weird, it changed everyday. The top floor where there is meant to be a restaurant isn’t finished but I’m sure it will be beautiful once it is! The place is walking distance to the main square with the Stalin Museum and the fortress. We took the train from Tbilisi in the morning, spent the day exploring, had a cozy night in and left on the train the next morning. A truly easy place to stay, that was clean and had a beautiful view.

Zakro was a great and communicative host. The apartment was as described, and is within walking distance from one of the main parks in Gori--there are also mini-markets nearby to buy groceries. The apartment's kitchen was very nice, as was the balcony and the view of Gori. Highly recommended.
