Do not hesitate , this is a one of a kind gem! I loved the place and the host is amazingly responsive!! 10 out of 10 on the location , beauty , and welcoming atmosphere. Sóley was incredible in every way. I cant recommend this place enough.

The ocean view from the front of the house was pleasant and calming. The rooms are as described. The toys available helped with our 3 year old and her homesickness for playing. Thank you!

Our stay was exactly what we needed. The place was extremely clean and nicely updated. The views from the windows were amazing! Our host gave us clear instructions on how to find the location which made it easy to navigate! The only thing that was strange is we got into town on a Friday evening and only one of the restaurants in town was open. We thankfully found a place to eat but just something to keep in mind. That aside, we would totally stay again!

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely home! The house was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing visit. The location was perfect—peaceful and surrounded by beautiful scenery, which made our time there feel extra special. We felt so welcomed and at ease, and it was clear that a lot of care goes into making guests feel at home. The kids like the toys that we available and the outside ‘garden’ that was a joy for them to play in. Thank you for providing such a cozy and inviting place for our family. We would happily recommend this house to anyone looking for a memorable stay near Vik in Iceland!

My family and I stayed at Jon’s country house in April 2025. We absolutely loved it! The surrounding property is so beautiful and the house was easy to find and very secluded. It was just the right place for us at that point in our vacation. The washer and dryer was a huge benefit. It was very comfortable and was an excellent base location to see all the sights in southern Iceland. It is 60-90 minutes from all the amazing things to do in that region. I’d highly recommend staying there, especially if you are traveling with a family. Jon was very responsive during the whole stay, he was a great host!

Needed a last minute stay and this was really all that was left when booking, it was nice and clean and a good place to rest in middle of nowhere land.

It was super cozy for our trip and we stayed for couple days, waking up with wonderful views and cooked lots of food in this room. Highly recommended and definitely worth staying there. The host was friendly and proactive, always willing to help. Thank you for letting us stay, we loved it.

Auf unserer Island Rundreise haben wir über die Ostertage diese Unterkunft für 2 Erwachsene und 2 Jugendliche gebucht. Sie ist wirklich traumhaft. Vor allem die Lage! Wir konnten wunderschöne Fotos vom Sonnenuntergang und sogar von den Nordlichtern machen. Da hatten wir richtig Glück. Drinnen ist die Unterkunft wie auf den Fotos beschriebenen. Sie kam uns ein bisschen kleiner als erwartet, was uns aber nicht weiter störte. Wir würden die Unterkunft auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen...allerdings haben wir auch vergleichsweise sehr viel bezahlt. Vielleicht lag das daran, weil Ostern war und weil wir so spät gebucht hatten, aber wir haben fast das doppelte bezahlt, was wir in anderen Blockhütten in Island bezahlt haben. Außer dem Preis können wir uns aber nicht beklagen und waren mega happy. Vielen Dank!
