Vacation rentals with lake access in De Fryske Marren

Super nice stay in a beautiful vacation home right on the water. With the enclosed garden and built-in trampoline, the accommodation is ideal for families with young children. The sun terrace with BBQ made it very pleasant for adults.

We had a fantastic 3-night stay, the house was very comfortable, spacious, well equipped and the surroundings were just amazing and quiet. Beds were very comfortable and everything felt clean. A great plus to have 2 toilets with a group of 8. Our kids enjoyed the place too and especially the space to run around the house and in the high grass. The lake was not even 1min away and one can access with a boat, swim from there (ladder) or just enjoy the sunset. Finally the village, with 2 restaurants, very tasty eel/fish seller and a a grocery store, was very cute and at a walking distance. Plenty to explore around!

We stayed in their lovely home with your two kids, we didn't have the best weather but still enjoyed our stay. The location is lovely and the home is spacious, clean and well kept. We used the bikes once to go shopping for a few little items when we didn't feel like taking the car and played some midget golf with the kids. We had a lovely stay.

We were personally greeted by our nice hostess Anke and we enjoyed our stay very much. The great large kitchen, the beautiful outdoor area and the many different rooms were perfect for our large group. The location is great, right on the canal and everything is within walking distance. Thank you very much, we will be happy to come back.

We had a wonderful time with our large family in this beautiful house. We were able to use the large dining tables inside and on the terrace for cozy, shared meals, there is a great playroom for the children, a relaxed sitting area for a game night and a spacious kitchen. It's also great that each bedroom has its own bathroom. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Our stay in the beautiful vacation home was great! It had everything you need. Patricia responded to messages promptly. Thanks also for the flexible check-in and check-out :) It would have been good to know in advance that two large towels were missing, then we would have brought some ourselves. Otherwise, everything is great and highly recommended!

We had a really very nice time. We really liked the cottage. The location is totally great and you only need 1-2 minutes to the train station, the ferry or the beach. The only small flaw is the temperature of the house on warm days. Since you sleep under the roof, it is really very warm - you should be prepared for that. Apart from that, the house was well equipped and exceeded our expectations. We would definitely come back!

It was a great stay in a very nice AirBnB! It’s spacious, has a nice view with a nice bbq opportunity. The surrounding has lots to do and everything was walkable. Our group had a blast. Thank you so much for the great stay.

Benjamin is a great host, we received a great introduction into the history of the place. The appartment is very nice, clean and well maintained. It has everything you need. Also Benjamin was very helpful and attentive, he gave good recommendations for a boat rental. Fantastic base to explore the Frisian lakes by boat.

There were 3 of us at Jan's apartment and we took an angel/city trip. The property is perfectly located, you have a wonderful view of the sea and can enjoy your coffee there. Right next to a delicious restaurant and a boat rental where we got a small boat. The perfect trip to simply switch off and let your soul wander.

We felt completely comfortable in your apartment! Everything was super clean, lovingly decorated and really nothing was missing. The location is perfect, with everything you need nearby. Especially with children, it was ideal: plenty of space, child-friendly amenities and a really pleasant environment. Thank you for the warm hospitality – we will be happy to come back!

Well and purposefully equipped apartment in the immediate vicinity of the Heeger Meer. Beautiful garden view. Quiet. Recommended. Good communication with the landlord.

The place is very nice and clean. We were very pleased with everything. Above all, the dike and the lock are just a few steps away, as is the old town of Makkum. We will certainly be back.

Top apartment of very welcoming people. We were allowed to check in earlier than average and we were able to go away quietly. Also noticed that the towels were in bags, so they are probably washed by a laundromat or something. Everything is new and good for each other, very cozy too and good quality stuff.

9 days in this house/apartment were a great experience. A Marijke who is always approachable has increased the living feeling. We felt comfortable and would be happy to come back. Thank you, Grazie, merci, bedankt!!

We spent almost two wonderful weeks at this accommodation with four adults and an 8-month-old baby. The house was spotlessly clean and exceptionally well-equipped – we didn’t miss a thing. We felt comfortable and at home from the very beginning. The location is perfect: close to Groningen and not far from the sea, offering a great mix of activities and relaxation. Whether you want to explore the area or just unwind, this place has it all. We highly recommend it and would gladly come back anytime!

We had a perfect stay. Richard welcomes us with great enthusiasm and a wonderful little dog who also comes to give you a festive welcome 🥰 Regarding the environment, it was simply beautiful, whether around (lake, beach, promenade, nice little village) or the land around the cottage. There's no better place to recharge your batteries in nature in an exceptional setting. (A small boat is available for the more adventurous;) ) As far as the accommodation is concerned, there was nothing to say about the cleanliness, faithful to the photos except that we expected to have two separate bedrooms. There were indeed two large beds, however one of them would be on the mezzanine (so open room). Other than that, we loved our stay and will be back! Don't hesitate if you need a short stay in nature (only 40 minutes from Amsterdam)

We booked the accommodation very spontaneously and felt very comfortable. Communication with Simon went great and he always helped us quickly with our request. We particularly liked that we were flexible with the arrival and departure in the accommodation. Thank you - we will be back :)

Absolutely a highlight! What a lovely home with lots of privacy, well appointed kitchen with good stuff and lovely beds. Beautiful boat rented and sauna on the water was really great!

We had a nice time in the forest house! We especially liked the terrace – there we could spend many cozy hours and enjoy the tranquility of nature. We felt immediately comfortable and were able to unwind wonderfully. We will be happy to come back!

Amazing view, super accommodation. Could sit outside entire day and take (nature) pictures if I had wanted to. Soo much other nature around though. Have a bike, boat or car to explore the wider area, go shopping. Loved it. Will be back for sure.
