There are three bedrooms comprising of two master queen bedrooms and a bunk room with two sets of bunks. Perfect for four adults and four children. There are also two bathrooms, an open plan kitchen lounge area that leads onto a deck and a comfortable outdoor covered seating area. In the garden there is a BBQ and wood fire pizza oven. There are kayaks, a paddle board and windsurfer for you to use not forgetting a couple of bikes to get around on. Beautiful beach, safe calm water for the children to swim in, great walks, a multitude of native birds, wallabies, monitor lizards and more. Guests are left to their own devices from the moment they arrive but plenty of help is at hand should need be. Set in the picturesque suburb of Great Mackeral Beach, the home is surrounded by Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park and 20 miles north of Sydney. Once you arrive at Palm Beach, just hop on the ferry or a water taxi and Mackerel is only a 10-30 minute boat ride away. Hiking trails, the beach, and lots of wildlife surround you. It is an easy drive from Sydney to Palm Beach and only an hour from the CBD. Alternatively buses (L90) go from the city to Palm Beach and take 90 minutes. There are no cars at Mackerel and the only access is by water. There are no shops at Mackerel so you need to bring everything you need for your stay. There is a good stock of the basics in the kitchen that is there for your convenience.

Walk to Newport Beach from a Warm Studio

Newport Beach on Sydney's Northern Beaches is fast becoming an exclusive holiday destination for Australian and International holiday-makers alike. The iconic Newport Hotel is a short 10 minute walk from the home and other quality eateries are even closer, located in Newport Village. The Village also offers a wide variety of shopping from large supermarkets to boutique stores. Palm Beach, or Summer Bay as it's known on "Home and Away", is 15 minutes further north by car. If night life or a faster pace is more your style then Manly is less than half an hour by car, travelling South. From here the Manly ferry can take you across Sydney Harbour to the CBD for a day of sightseeing. The beach is less than 5 minutes down one end of the road and should you chose to explore the other end of the road, you'll find the historic Bungan Castle, built in 1919. Majestically perched on the headland overlooking Bungan Beach, every stone of this castle was brought over by its German owner and it is now heritage listed. Owners are onsite in the main residence if needed. The apartment is steps away from the shores of Newport Beach and a short drive from Bungan Beach. This dear little cottage has just been entirely renovated and is perfect for a get-away to the Northern Beaches and Pittwater area. The Space and surrounding main house have a wonderful Mexican/Spanish and Moroccan feel. There is a breakfast of eggs and bacon in the fridge. Toast and jam or cereal. You will have the cottage to yourselves with separate garden. You will find the Avalon Peacock Cottage at the end of the long driveway (please keep gates closed) you will recognise the front door, it is blue with a gold Moroccan knocker. Catch the bus to Barrenjoey House for dinner or cross the road and further down is the bus to the city. Close to Jonas, Barrenjoey House and the Palm Beach Boathouse, also Starfish and Bistro Boulevard in Avalon, ferry service to Patonga and the Central Coast is 30 minutes from Palm Beach Wharf.
