House vacation rentals in Darling Downs

This place is lovely. Aircon in all the bedrooms would be better, this is Queensland after all. Not great for elderly though as there's lots of stairs. Kitchen was missing a few items, and the items that were there were just all over the place in all different cupboards and drawers. Lovely bottle of champagne and strawberries, but no gladwrap or tupperware. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed a fantastic family holiday. The house was very clean and well organised and the surrounding property was large enough for everyone to relax and take time out as well as spend time together enjoying the common areas. Brigid was very helpful and happy yo help out during our stay- we’d love to visit again. Thanks Brigid!

Our family had a lovely stay at The Little Red Barn. Everything was exactly as described and the place was very clean with a kitchen stocked full of essentials. Our family enjoyed the pool, toasting marshmallows and playing endless boardgames. We took our Cavoodle away with us and whilst it is a pet friendly stay, it is not a fully fenced space so you need to keep an eye on your pooch. Hosts were very helpful and responsive.

We had a great stay at Jason’s cottage. Both the cottage and the pool were way bigger than we expected from the pictures! Earlier check in was also available and Jason was always responding super quick. The neighborhood is more quiet but the train station was a 13 minute walk

The house is great for a nice nature getaway. The entrance to the place is a bit bumpy but the house itself is great! It's really clean with lots of blankets for your own comfort. The kitchen was perfect for cooking as it was spacious and had all the necessary items. The rooms were really cozy and the bathrooms were really clean. Highly recommended if you have a car and are looking for a cozy space to stay in.

What a wonderful place! You feel like you're in the middle of the nature with all the birds and parrots in the trees. It's a truly special place that Lil and Stephen have created, with a wonderful garden and pool. We didn't want to leave. Paddington is just around the corner, with lovely shops and restaurants, and it's also very easy to get to the city. If we ever find ourselves in Brisbane again, we'll definitely come back here. Lil and Stephen are incredibly kind and helpful people! Thank you so much for everything!

This place was so enjoyable. Originally built in the 60’s (?) I was thoroughly impressed with how the whole house was built for the express purpose of hosting large groups. We were 5 siblings and partners celebrating together our mums 90th birthday. We loved the many different living/dining and entertainment areas and had the most enjoyable time especially on the Friday night in the separate movie theatre/media/bar building adjacent to the main house. We played pool, danced, sang, laughed lots and just enjoyed being together. The whole weekend was unforgettable and we’re so glad we found this place. An added treat was getting to see a couple of local wallabies grazing outside over the weekend. Thank you to the hosts for a great venue….We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it !

One word: WOW! I booked this place for my parents, but went out with them while they checked in. Brendon met us with bubbles to celebrate my Mum's birthday. He was so lovely, communicative, and welcoming. We were shown around the house and the property to make sure Mum and Dad were comfortable before I left them there for their relaxing weekend. The house is so lovely. Everything was thought of. Brendon put out a beautiful spread for them to enjoy, including a birthday cake, and there were plenty of provisions for them for breakfast and beyond. They relaxed in the pool, and the ac, and enjoyed the views. They saw wallabies on their walks too. Brendon made himself available to them should they need anything or have any questions. My only wish is that I could have stayed with them! Thank you so much for your hospitality, Brendon!

The house was good value. It was clean, tidy, including the linen & towels. It had everything we needed. It was walkable to the CBD. The wifi wasn’t working the first night, but David responded quickly, confirmed that it was a broader area outage issue, & kept us up to date.

Great place to stay, plenty of room for all of us, clean and tidy, would definitely stay again.

We had a lovely family getaway at Nathan’s - everything you need for a relaxing time away & so close to Maleny - views are beautiful & coffee machine was a hit along with the pool table, clean and tidy & perfect spot to relax with our fur babies too ! The wine & treats were such a lovely touch - thanks for having us

We were able to create special memories with our family in a beautiful forest setting. The living room with the fireplace was incredibly cozy and quickly became everyone's favorite spot. There was more than enough space for the five of us, and it would definitely be comfortable even for a larger group. The interior design and lighting were stylish and created a calm atmosphere that allowed us to fully relax.

I would recommend & stay again. We had a lovely Family stay with 6 adults & 1 infant to attend a wedding. The home had everything that we needed and it all worked, we didn't get to use the outdoor entertainment area with BBQ but it looks well maintained & set up. 1 minute walk next door to the Tenterfield Tavern Restaurant for a meal & the bottleshop was handy for our 1st nights stay. Beds were comfy & have electric blankets for the colder nights. Large lounge was comfy with a fireplace that we used 1 night as the temperature dropped to cold, there is a reverse cycle heater otherwise if not using the fireplace. There is a small smart TV in the dining room but the large TV in the Lounge wouldn't connect to stream,recommend an Amazon Fire Stick. Nice welcome with a card & treats on arrival. Coffee, Tea, items in the Pantry & boxed milk in the Fridge made an easy start to the morning. Thank you for the stay and for providing such a lovely comfortable home, we enjoyed stepping back in time

I booked Sophie and Ari’s place for my dad and brother, who were visiting from overseas, and they had a great stay. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and as described. Sophie and Ari were fantastic hosts - friendly and very responsive, making communication easy throughout. Highly recommend their place to anyone visiting the area 🙂

We had a wonderful stay! The place was lovely—clean, cozy, and exactly as described. The host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, even helping us park our cars when we arrived. They were super accommodating and kindly allowed us a late check-out until 2pm, which made our departure so much more relaxed. Thank you Peter!

Kate was a fantastic host! We booked her home for a few employees who were working nearby. Due to changes happening on site, we had to make amendments to our booking. Kate was so understanding and helped us massively with changing the dates around for us. She couldn't have been more accommodating!! The employees were happy and had no complaints during their stay. We would definitely book again if back in the area. Highly recommend. Thanks again Kate! :)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and felt right at home. Leanne was there to greet us but respected our privacy and gave us support when needed. I’ve already recommended it to others and will probably return before too long.

Lovely home and outdoor area. Easy communication throughout. Spacious living room, very well equiped. We enjoyed using the barbie outside. There are lots of good hikes nearby. We met the Rita and partner who live upstairs who are very friendly. Would recommend and hope to be back.

The house was absolutely gorgeous, clean and just st so amazing. Relaxed right from the moment we arrived to the minute we left. Could not fault the location, quiet ambience and the totally private feel of the place despite its location so close to town. Would recommend this place to everyone who uses BnB. The communications between both our amazing hosts was easy and without any delay or hassle. Best kept secret in Gympie.

Lizzy’s place is a well appointed, clean and modern home that was perfect for a relaxing weekend to unwind. The beautiful fixtures and finishing touches made it feel more luxurious and inviting. Our favourite experience was reading every morning and afternoon on the swinging chair on the verandah. Would highly recommend this accomodation to family and friends.
