Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Darling Downs

What an amazing place to stay beautifully renovated Queenslander, with large veranda front and back and a beautiful big yard for our dogs to run around very safe and secure, the house itself inside is very homely, I was quite surprised how warm the house was, it has a fireplace but the gas heater was all we needed,the bed was so comfortable . Emma our host was very helpful and friendly, Queens Park was only a short walk up the road and we found an amazing bakery just around the corner The bakers Duck , we’ll definitely be back

Great property in a beautiful location. Very peaceful and quiet yet within a 10 minute drive of Maleny. I whole heartedly agree with the many positive comments that have been left by others who have stayed at the property in recent months. The property is well maintained, fixtures and fittings are of good quality and everything was clean and tidy upon our arrival. Lots of little extras (such as the ground coffee in the kitchen and the library of books) go to make this an exceptional stay. Highly recommended and we would not hesitate to book again in the future.

My friends and I had a wonderful time at Alison's place. Catering for two couples, with other guests coming over one evening, we had plenty of places to choose from to relax, find solitude and to gather as a group. the views from the verandah were lovely. it's a place that is suitable for family gatherings.

Wonderful house with great character, surrounded by vineyards (three easily walkable) and with a beautiful deck to chill on and fire pit to enjoy. If you like visiting the Granite Belt it makes a perfect base -15 min to Stanthorpe town, 15 min to Girraween for hiking, the Ballandean pub and heaps of vineyards down the road, and petrol/basic shop/Jamworks just on the highway a couple of mins away. Highly recommend.

Highly recommend for a peaceful getaway. The house has old world charm and has everything you could ever need.

Casita de Bosque is a lovely open plan cottage, being one of three owned by Rodolfo and Maria, all privately located in separate areas on a large rural block with interesting features and short private walks. The property includes a vineyard and they make nice wine. I recommend the tampranillo! Delicious. Rodolfo and Maria were very welcoming and great hosts. We had some nice chats, and they provided excellent recommendations, including an appointment-only winery tour at Savina, which was lovely. Our cottage was well appointed with plenty of amenities and nice little touches. A pot belly stove, air conditioning, radiator and electric blankets ensure you can be warm and cosy, or open the place up and use the large deck in summer. The bed, bedding and furniture are very comfortable If you want to disconnect, relax and unwind, this is the right spot. Thank you Rodolfo and Maria.

Chelsea's place was beautiful, it's an amazing place to stay and had everything we needed for a few nights. It's very close to the main st in town and east walking distance to pubs, coffee shops, the wine bar and Coles. We asked Chelsea a couple of questions and she responded very quickly.

Loved our stay here in this beautiful quaint little heritage home, beautiful little garden and perfect sunset view from the verandah. A short walk to a number of cafes for breakfast & felt safe and cosy. Thankyou so much for having us.

What an amazing stay we had at Jeff and Jewel’s place! Nothing was a trouble, communication was excellent and the place itself was so generously sized as well as being set in time and wonderful to wander around in its own right with all its little curios. The chickens out the back and in the neighbours yard were also a wonder for our 3 year old. Such a quiet peaceful location as well. So much to do in Warwick and surrounds, we used our time to go apple picking at Nicolettis, headed to Queen Mary falls and enjoyed local restaurants like Bluebird Kitchen and Smokehouse which was only a short walk from Balcone and absolutely delicious! Can’t wait to book our next trip!

We had a lovely stay! The place was beautiful and clean and the breakfast spread was a lovely touch. Easy check in and very lovely hosts.

We loved staying in the train carriage at Heaven in the Hills. If you are after a quiet location with a quirky and unique twist … this is the spot. Clean and tidy. Aidan was a great host. Full stove/oven to be able to cook with, albeit a very small kitchen area (which is also holds the single bed), but definitely doable for a few days. Although 10 minutes from the town centre it doesn’t feel that way due to the beautiful drive, so close enough to eat out at one of the local restaurants or pub. Gorgeous outside veranda/area with daybed. Quiet and very private, however the carriage is split into two units so there may be other guests staying next door. We loved our stay and would definitely stay again.

We had a great stay. The house was very wheelchair accessible, which was a big plus for our friend who joined us. Everything was clean and comfortable. Pippa was a warm and welcoming host, and very easy to contact when needed. The surroundings were beautiful, and we really appreciated the peaceful setting. Highly recommended!

We came back for a second time after only 4 months because we love Betharam. The villa is not only beautiful but has fantastic surrounding and great views! We were also again impressed with all the extras provided. Everything you need is there. We love being close to Maleny, but still completely private and in tranquility when at the villa. We love all the nature close by and for walks as well. Yes, we will come back as soon as possible. It's a real treat to be away from the hustle and bustle of life and to 'detox' in such a beautiful place and to just enjoy the serenity.

Great place, peaceful clean and quiet

Beautiful area. The view is something that our family could definitely live with 24/7. Nothing like laying in a hammock watching the cows peacefully munching in the paddock and the beautiful view of the bluff. Lovely old home. Kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool and could have spent their whole stay in it!

Imagine a beautifully appointed, dream cabin in the woods with sunken spa bath, flowing creek below that lulls you to sleep, a hammock on the veranda where you can relax with a glass of wine and listen to the birds discuss the wonders of the lush rainforest that surrounds you. Think of a place where you see only wildlife and if the whole retreat was at capacity it would still be a handful of people in a handful of cabins that you never even see. Picture a warm welcome with breakfast hamper and cheese platter and croissants delivered daily to your cabin by a magic invisible and silent rainforest spirit that leaves them fresh for you to enjoy. Consider a selection of wine and spirits available on site along with bbq hampers and other niceties that you can cook on your outdoor bbq whilst the bush turkeys look on hopefully. Hold your loved one in front of the fireplace and listen to the night whisper “relax”, “forget”, “unwind”, “just be”.

Our stay at Taman Sari was incredible. Every little touch, down the chocolates around the place, the inclusions (milk, juice, butter, condiments and so much more) and then the fresh bread in the mornings was so well thought of. The view is spectacular and everything about the setting was relaxing and calming. We found ourselves having nights in just to enjoy the view and the fire place. Nicole was so friendly and kind, she responds so quickly and predicts what you need next. Cannot fault this stay, and will be back for sure. Not to mention recommending to every dog parent we know.

What an incredible property. Linda and Gary as the most gracious of hosts. The house was spotless and exactly the luxurious remote escape we were after. The kitchen is well equipped for cooks and the furnishings made us feel at home. Slept wonderfully on soft beds. The outlook spectacular, wild wallabies and no neighbours to be seen. It’s a country road so be sure to be confident driving at night if you required. Definitely hope to return again.
