We stayed in Aaron and Alla’s apartment for a four-day trip to Cuenca and it was absolutely perfect for our family of five. The location is right in the middle of the city and we walked everywhere as we explored. We arrived a little earlier than planned and Alla accommodated us and helped us get checked in. She graciously showed us around and even stopped by a little later with extra dish soap and trash bags. The linens were clean and smelled nice and the beds were super comfortable. We appreciated the milk, eggs, and croissant starters the next morning, too! For parking, Alla showed us a lot around the corner that had a reasonable price for overnight parking. Check-in and check-out were easy, the apartment was cozy, clean, and comfortable, and the hosts had every detail covered. They had toys for the little ones, an air mattress for our youngest, a high chair, stroller, fire stick, and laundry soap. Five stars EASY! Thank you!

This was by far one of the best airbnbs I’ve ever stayed at with the kindest host! Juan was helpful, responsive, and very kind to us and always was there when we needed him. The place itself is quiet, clean, orderly and has everything you need long term. I really enjoyed the stay and Juan was an excellent host! The kitchen was also well equipped.

A calming bedroom area features a spacious bed dressed in soft tan and cream linens. Natural light floods in through large windows, revealing views of the brick exterior. Two neatly rolled towels rest atop the bed, enhancing the relaxing atmosphere.

We stayed at this Airbnb located within a hotel in Cuenca for one night, and it was perfect for our quick stop. We arrived after hours and really appreciated how secure everything was. The gated parking garage gave us peace of mind about leaving our car overnight. When we arrived, the on-site security was incredibly helpful and friendly, assisting us with check-in and making sure we were comfortable. The apartment itself was clean, spacious, and had all the amenities we needed for our stay, including a fridge and a private bathroom. Even though our stay was short, everything was smooth and convenient. We felt safe and well taken care of—definitely recommend for anyone needing a comfortable and secure place to stay in Cuenca!

Peaceful River and Mountain Views 2BD Apartment

A very well equipped apartment. Furniture, furnishings, kitchen equipment all of high quality. Plus s VERY comfortable bed in main bedroom. Balcony with views over the town with mountains in the background. Although located to the west of the old town, access to the new travia metro system was about 150 meters up the road. This costs a dollar and there are stops only 5 minutes walk from Calderon Park in front of the Cathedral. We used it most days. Many day trips are available, recommend these as a good guide will really help with the understanding of the region and country. There are supermarkets on the Travia line in either direction, but we just used cabs - a couple of bucks each way and more convenient. Maria and her sister Katrina were very helpful, we settled in very quickly, and they answered questions without any delay. All in all a very good stay - ahhh one last thing ref Travia and taxis - you will not need a hire car!

Excellent location within easy walking distance of historical center of Cuenca, many restaurants, grocery stores, and other places of interest. The building has 24-hour security at its front door manned by helpful guards (e.g., guard often assisted with groceries). Owner kept us apprised of on-going maintenance and exterior painting of building as well as any interruptions in utilities by municipal authorities (only happened a few days of a three-month stay). Cleaning services available for a reasonable fee during the lengthy stay. My wife and I look forward to returning to this lovely apartment during our annual visits to Cuenca.

A spacious rooftop terrace is furnished with comfortable seating and a glass-top table, offering a scenic view. Decorative elements include plants and colorful cushions. A partitioned area features a lounge space with a mural, providing a relaxed ambiance for gatherings.

This was our second stay at Terrazo Escondido and it was as wonderful as the first ! This is a lovely, well equipped apartment with comfortable beds, in an amazing location. One can easily walk to El Centro, there are delightful restaurants and shops all around. The crowning glory however, is the rooftop terrace. This is a magical place to read a book, sip a drink or watch the sunset, it is glorious!

What a wonderful experience! Staying in Marcela's charming space in Cuenca was like finding a home away from home. From the moment we arrived, we were met with a warmth that made our stay unforgettable. Although her place is generally not pet-friendly, she was kind enough to allow us to stay with our two Chihuahuas, a gesture we deeply appreciate. The place is simply spectacular, full of details that show Marcela's care and dedication. If you are planning a visit to Cuenca, do not hesitate to stay with her; it will be an experience you will treasure forever!
