This small rustic cabin is on the bank of the New River, just an 8 minute drive from downtown Orange Walk. We offer a free ride to town every morning at 7:30. We can also make arrangements if you wish to head to town for dinner and drinks. Maracas Bar and Grill on site open Thursday thru Sunday, for lunch and dinner. The cabin is one 6 on 5 acres of riverside property. If you're a birder, early morning is a good time. Spiny tail iguanas, proboscis bats, other wildlife live on the property
“When booking this place, one of our criteria was that it was a bit outside of the town, at the river with wildlife around and that it has a fridge and coffeemaker. We came on a Monday when the Bar is closed and the whole area was very quite. They have picnic tables and small benches along the river and we saw birds and iguanas, jumping fish and even a crocodile. We checked in via the hotel de la Fuenta in Orange Walk and booked with them our Lamanai tour (which was exceptional, we had a wonderful guide who found a lot of wild life and went up with us on all the ruins, and what we liked the best we were only a small group of 5 people) we can highly recommend booking with the Lamanai River Tours). It is beautiful to sit in front of your cabin - our cabin didn't had a table, but some of the other ones have). the rooms have a wonder bath room, fan and air conditioner. If you don't have a car, they pick you up in the morning. I would recommend this place if you have a car and you can go back and forth independently.”

“We loved Pur boutique. My husband and I stayed one night. They arranged for pick up from the airport. Josh greeted us with a cold cloth for the dust driving through town...and a cold water!😊The room was exactly as shown on the website. The bed was very comfortable. The only complaint I have was the water pressure from the shower. Happy hour was great! Highly recommend the margaritas they were so delicious. The location was exactly what we wanted.. away from all the loud noise, but close enough we didn’t feel to far away. We rented bikes and toured around town we felt safe entire time. The location is not on the beach. The beach is walk away. We did not swim at the location. Check out ran smoothly. They even offered us a free ride to our next destination which was 35 mins away. We would stay at Pur Boutquie cabana again!”
This recently finished one bedroom apartment has all new furnishings and appliances with AC in the living area as well as the bedroom. Far enough away from busy downtown to feel like a local but close enough to walk to all the tourist attractions on the island. This is a perfect spot to base yourself for a vacation of any length. We have a supermarket, pharmacy, bakery (best on the island), Golf-cart rental, beach bar and restaurant all within a ten minute walk from the apartment.
“We spent 2 months in San Pedro and were looking for a place that would offer a kitchen and a location in a neighborhood. This apartment checked all our boxes. The experience started with our arrival. We were delayed getting in and Candice had made arrangements for us to be picked up at the airport. I was able to contact her and she re-arranged everything so that when we arrived, our ride was there. The apartment was clean and exactly as pictured. Candice took the time to walk us around and familiarize us with the area. Any time we had a question about the town or the island, Candice either had an answer or made a phone call and got the answer. She has great insights into what to see and where to go. She has been living in San Pedro for a while and knows the area very well. The apartment is about 3 blocks from the beach, a 30 minute walk to the center of town. We were able to walk on the beach every day (San Pedro has 'open' beaches so you can walk all the way to the end of the island both north and south on the beaches). If you want to go to places like Secret Beach, you will need to rent a cart (as you would staying most other places on the island) but she has contacts and can have one delivered right to your door. There is a great little grocery store right around the corner lots of restaurants nearby. She even introduced us to the Mennonites that come to the island once a week with fresh produce! Candice and her family live upstairs from the apartment and they were the perfects hosts. We had a blast, and would do it again. Thanks Candice!”
