A beautiful cottage in a beautiful location. It had everything you could possibly need. Lots of recommendations , which were useful for first comers like us . We will come back :)

Super comfortable cottage, well equipped and beautifully renovated. Stunning location, made even better due to the recent sunny spell. Walking distance to the village which has a good choice of places to eat. We didn’t use the car for the 4 days we were there as you can walk up The Old Man from the cottage and walk down to the Lakeside. Shona was responsive and provided helpful instructions. Overall a great stay.

This is a great place to stay for a couple. It’s a cozy little cottage with everything you need. Perfect location to explore the beautiful area around Coniston Water and within easy reach of other places in the Lakes. The place is tucked away peacefully and is lovely to retreat to after a busy day with a sheltered and sunny garden area to relax and read in. It’s an easy walk from the property into Coniston and we explored other walks as well - e.g. to Brantwood House and to the lakeside for swimming. We really enjoyed our stay.

The Apartment (number 2) was ideal for our short break. We parked in the free parking space behind 'The Apartments' and there was then easy access via the rear entrance for unloading. Apartment 2 had a wonderful sunny aspect at the front and was perfectly located for Coniston (2 mins walk max), the lake and generally for Ambleside, Hawkshead, Windermere and Esthwaite water - we went to them all! Everywhere was light, airy, clean and tidy and Angela met us on arrival and was extremely friendly and helpful explaining everything to us. Excellent!
