Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Colón Island

Our stay at Rodney's guest house was perfect to visit Bocas and explore everything it and the archipelago had to offer. The location is perfect - right by the water with quick water taxi access to everywhere we wanted to visit. The convenience of getting around made our trip so much more enjoyable. Rodney is truly a rare breed of host - attentive, responsive, and genuinely interested in ensuring we had a wonderful stay. His communication was excellent from booking through checkout. He provided clear instructions and was always available to answer questions or offer local recommendations. The guest house itself was clean and comfortable. Everything we needed was thoughtfully provided. We can't recommend Rodney's place highly enough and would definitely stay here again on our next visit. Thank you for making our trip so special!

From the moment we arrived, this home swept us off our feet! This place is truly magical. Handcrafted from local sources (timber, coconuts, shells, stone), every detail reflects respect for the environment. The house is cozy, peaceful, & rustic, w/a funky edge. My favorite area was the patio, which opened up to the rainforest, teeming w/birds & flowers. I loved watching monkeys in the trees & listening to the waves. Next to the home is the owners' incredible restaurant, Arboloco, a local favorite. The restaurant has a chill jungle vibe (delicious Afro-Caribbean food) & is open Wed-Sat. Despite the nearby dining, privacy was never an issue. The path to our Airbnb was clearly separated, maintaining a secluded experience. The location is serene & is a 10-minute drive from Bocas Town. This Airbnb isn’t just a place to stay; it’s an experience… an artistic retreat. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect blend of nature, privacy, & local culture.

Our stay at Casa del Fuego 1/10-19/2025 was exactly what was advertised online on Airbnb. We were fortunate to have been able to meet Shauna the owner during our stay. It is always nice to see owners that are actively engaged in wanting to make sure the renter has a great experience. It was a great stay at Bluff Beach. We came with our son and loved the house and location, one minute from the beach. There are restaurants very close to eat, have dinner or a drink, but maintaining the quiet character of the area. It's really a gem to enjoy nature. Nicole is a very friendly and communicative host.

The house is really exceptionally beautiful and detailed, the outdoor area is also lovingly and imaginatively designed. What is surprising is that there are no mosquitoes in the house although there are no windows only screens. Super nice hostess. The only thing (which was only due to the heavy rain) was that everything was a bit damp, but it wasn't too bad. Super fun!

Julieta’s place is a bit higher than the rest of Old Bank village, so it’s very quiet and peaceful. She has a big garden surrounded by big trees and bamboos specifically her jackfruit trees attracted many birds which we could observe every day from our room! The trail to Wizards’ beach is right at the corner where we saw a couple of sloths! She is very friendly person who cares about us all through our stay by messages, despite she was off the island. Highly recommended!

We had an amazing time in this hideaway, surrounded by nature. We were woken every morning by the sounds of howler monkeys and birds. Saw yellow tails, monkeys, toekans and humming birds in the garden. Short drive to beautiful bluff beach (or 40 minute walk) and short drive to Bocas town for lovely dinners. Host Wally is amazing.

The 2nd floor was very hot and long to cool in the evening despite the air conditioning. It was pretty wet, too. You should know that there is a space between the wall and the ceiling, which allows moisture, heat, and insects to pass through. I also wish there was a guard by the stairs to avoid falling there. The beds are comfortable. The futon is very firm, but suitable for a child. I wish I had a few more pillows. The terrace is cozy with its hammock. The outdoor table could be changed by removing the boards that prevent our knees from approaching. The fridge was spacious and very cold. The gas oven was working great. The toaster oven was functional but rather long to toast. The bathroom was adequate. There were ample towels for our stay. Host Daniele was always very quick to respond to our requests. A problem with the hot water was resolved very quickly despite it being a Sunday.
