Sweeney Farm Glamping - Mountain Lodge

GabrielleRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Had such a beautiful weekend in Helen’s tent with my friends, there’s lots to do in the area, we spent one of our days in Lake Bala. Even if you want to stay on the site there’s plenty of games and sports equipment provided and a field to enjoy. Inside the tent was spotless and comfortable we all felt right at home. Absolutely nothing to complain about, we would all definitely return :)

We have had a great few days, Helen helped get us familiar with the accommodation the minute we turned up. This place is family friendly, lots to do and the views and surroundings were fantastic. The beds were so comfortable and the shower was great too. My niece thought Penny the pig was the highlight of our stay!! Overall couldn’t we couldn’t have asked for more.

This was just the ticket. 8 of us needed somewhere that was easy, good for socialising and close enough to some great walks. The hosts were really helpful and made our stay straight forward and fun. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place.

Plas Derwen Country House Bell Tent Camping

StaceyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This is a great little set up. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t on our side, but what do you expect for April!! Christine kindly provided a plug-in heater on an extension lead from her house which I don’t believe is a service she usually provides. She had it going before we arrived so it was nice and toasty. We’d love to experience this place in the summer and use the bbq and make a fire. Christine was very personable and welcoming on arrival and then left us to it. Although we’re essentially in her garden it felt private.

Lotus Belle 1

We (family of 4 with two kids - 6yrs and 3yrs and a dog) booked as a very last minute decision to make the most of a sunny weekend and so glad we did! Even though we arrived later than standard check-in, Elsie was there to greet us and talk us through everything. Found everything to be very clean and well maintained. Kids absolutely loved being able to run free through the fields, playing down by the river and the tree swings. Location is great for a number of mid Wales attractions. Great host, great accommodation and a great stay! Our only downside was that we only booked one night and so we can't wait to return! Thanks, Elsie!

Foxes Den, experience nature from your doorstep!

StephenRating, 5 stars36 months ago
We had a great stay at Little North Field. The accommodation has wooden floors and inner walls but the external walls and roof is canvas. When the temperature drops at night, the tent is kept warm by the wood burner fireplace. There is a weber provided and also a firepit outside. Accommodation comes with everything you need including wood and firelighters, fitted kitchen, tea/coffee/sugar etc, inside bathroom with good shower and comfortable bedding, towels and good furnishings with lots of personal little touches. The kitchen has 2 fast heating plates, but no oven. However, there is a microwave. There are also various outdoor games provided and an excellent flat lawn for children to play. One thing to be aware of depending on your network you might experience low reception (I have EE and it was fine but Vodafone seems to be patchy) and there is no wifi - so we had a very good digital detox for a few days :). There is also no TV which was great and we did not miss it in the slightest. Just bring your suitcase, book, camera, food and good campsite stories! Thanks Catherine and Tim!
