Extensive beautiful gardens give everyone the ambiance of a very, very peaceful place. Many love to connect with the friendly farm animals. The BNB is very comfortable & private. The Gardens give the impression we are miles away from the city, but all services are within 2 miles. Just a mile off the freeway, its easy access to the salt water, walking paths & parks, restaurants, museums, stores. Only a couple hours(or less) to Rainier & Olympic National parks, the ocean, zoo, wildlife parks.

We chose to share our guest house primarily because the idea of sharing our stunning view appeals to us very much. We are so fortunate to have a view so special that we wanted to build a guest house for our friends and you! We designed our 600 square foot modern guest house with the intent of creating a very private honeymoon suite. The Green Door PDX: A European Inspired Cottage.

A bolthole created from passion by Kaemingk Collection, The Green Door PDX was designed to provide a unique respite from the energy of Portland while being conveniently located only minutes from downtown and popular shopping/eating districts. We have taken queues from Europe and built a traditional field cottage tucked into the landscape at the front of the property and surrounded it with mature greenery for an inviting welcome and ultimate privacy for our guests.

300 feet above the ocean on sacred Neahkahnie Mountain, 30 feet above the ground. Built by hand with love in 1985. Look out thru giant Sitka spruce and Douglas fir, south & west to the ocean. Look up from the sleeping loft through a huge skylight to the night stars and moon. Leave urban culture behind. Retreat into a world where the rest of nature speaks loudly. Threading the needle of a city lot, the Kenilworth House lives along side a 1905 Victorian, where the host resides.
