A very peaceful and private place to stay in Sao Vicente. Being spacious and having great views makes it a perfect place to rest between activities. Beds are comfortable and closets are fantastic. There was port, fruit, and cake waiting for us, which was a welcoming touch. It is about a 35 min drive to Funchal and closer to an hour to get to and from the airport. Less than hr to elsewhere on the island. Notes: 1) Access: To get to the restaurants and shops is a steep climb with stairs or road, so be prepared to drive down or get some exercise :) 2) Parking and layout: The gated 2-car port is on the roof of the home and is at the end of the street where there is viewpoint parking. It may be a little tight getting in and out if there are cars. You go down 1 floor to get to the bedrooms and one more floor to get to the living room/kitchen and pool. 3) Shopping: There is a grocery with long hours down at the shoreline (10 min walk). Wij hebben enorm genoten van dit prachtige huis. Dit huis heeft alles wat je nodig hebt. Het is smaakvol ingericht en wij voelden ons meteen thuis❤️ Het verwarmde zwembad met uitzicht op zee was een groot cadeau, vooral bij zonsondergang. 🌞 Wij komen zeker een keer terug! A beautiful, immaculate house with EVERYTHING a guest could hope for. I don’t think we have ever stayed in a house that was so well equipped. It is located quite far from the old Town of Funchal and a bus or taxi ride is essential. If you haven’t been to Funchal before you need to get used to its hilly setting. Some are very steep, but there are plenty buses and taxis both priced very modestly. You will not be disappointed with this house, its pool and stunning views.

Majoituimme Casa dos Francelhosissa, meitä oli seitsemän aikuista. Tilat olivat erinomaiset. Antonio otti meidät vastaan ystävällisesti, opasti kaiken tarvittavan huvilasta, mutta myös antoi mahtavia vinkkejä Madeiran nähtävyyksistä, kaupoista, ruokailupaikosta ja liikkumisesta. Viikko meni muakavasti huvilassa, jossa on mm. kolme kylpyhuonetta sisällä ja neljäs ulkona. Meitä odotti mm. hedelmävadit, tervetuliasviinit sekä kauniit kukat. Kaikki toimi loistavasti. Ulkoterassi ja uima-allasalueoli todella viihtyisä ja kaunis. Viikon aikana myös grillasimme ulkogrillissä. Huvilan sijainti on loistava, alue on rauhallinen ja näkymä merelle kaunis, kävelimme päivittäin keskustaan. Takaisinpäin otimme usein taksin, nuoriso käveli takaisin ja sai hyötyliikuntaa. Takseja sai keskustasta hyvin, Pingo-kaupan uloskäynnin vieressä niitä odotti aina useita. Bolt toimi hyvin myös. Voimme suositella lämpimästi Casa dos Francelhosta!

Das Haus nahe Calheta war perfekt für unseren Aufenthalt! Sehr schön, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und top ausgestattet – es war wirklich an alles gedacht: ein beheizter Pool, Gewürze, Duschgel, Müllbeutel, sogar Waschmittel standen bereit. Das Haus liegt ruhig an einer kleinen Dorfstraße. Es gibt Nachbarn, aber durch die clevere Lage hat man trotzdem viel Privatsphäre und wird nicht eingesehen. Die Aussicht aufs Meer ist traumhaft und lädt zum Verweilen auf der Terrasse ein. Die Lage ist ideal, um die gesamte Insel zu erkunden – mit einem Automatikauto problemlos zu erreichen. Ein besonderes Dankeschön an Elvio: Er war jederzeit erreichbar, super freundlich und hatte großartige Tipps für Ausflüge, Restaurants und Strände. Auch ein später Check-out war völlig unkompliziert. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und können das Haus nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen!

We hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad met zijn vijven. Het ontbrak aan niets, werkelijk alles was aanwezig (zelfs een kaasschaaf, fijn voor een Nederlander😅). Ook een heerlijke buitenruimte met voldoende meubilair voor ons allen. Een aanrader. Ik zou graag nog eens komen.

Mes enfants et moi-même avons passé un excellent sejour dans la maison d'Eleonor au calme avec vue magnifique sur Funchal. Parking a proximité très apprécié. Aucune difficulté pour se garer. La maison est d'une propreté irréprochable avec tous les équipements nécessaires a disposition. Excellent accueil par Claudio lors de notre arrivée. Très réactif a nos demandes et nous a conseillé de très bons restaurants Je recommande vivement 😉

We had a fantastic stay. The views are amazing and if you want peace and quiet away from the busier beach area this is the place to be. The walk down is easy, up is a lot more challenging but good exercise. Garry was very responsive, helpful and friendly.

Wir waren für 9 Nächte in der Unterkunft von Johnny und haben eine sehr schöne Zeit gehabt. Johnny ist ein toller Host, sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Unser Sonnenschirm und unsere Sonnenliege sind kaputt gegangen, am nächsten Tag hat Johnny uns schon neue gebracht. Die Unterkunft ist sauber und groß. Es gibt Lagebericht kleine Tierchen, die aber mit regelmäßigem saugen kein großes Problem darstellen. Die Aussicht ist top und das Grundstück sehr sicher.

Wonderful stay close to centre of town. Extremely well equipped kitchen for home cooking / day trips + lots of restaurant recommendations.

We absolutely loved being right on the ocean! It was within feet of the house!- with the waves crashing and the patio where we ate all our meals, provided an excellent ambiance for our trip. We stayed 6 nights and were so glad we didn’t move around to other places. The promenade next to the house is very scenic and offered a one mile round trip walk along the ocean . Watching the surfers was also a plus.

Madeira ist bezaubernd und die Unterkunft war es auch! Die Unterkunft ist super ausgestattet, man hat alles was man braucht. Die Lage ist ein Traum. In den Schlafzimmern sind kleine "Fenster" um mit Meeresrauschen einschlafen und aufwachen zu können. Constantino war super nett, immer hilfsbereit wenn wir Fragen zur Insel hatten und er hat uns tolle Tipps gegeben. Alles war sauber, gepflegt und gemütlich. Dieser Airbnb war jeden Cent wert! Wir waren mehr als zufrieden!!! Danke für diese unvergessliche Zeit!

Pour commencer, je ne mets jamais de 10 parce que la perfection n’existe pas mais je regrette qu’on ne puisse pas donner une note de 9.9 !!! La maison est hyper accueillante et parfaitement équipée. Il y avait même du sel et du poivre, de l’huile et du vinaigre ce qu’on ne trouve plus beaucoup maintenant, plus deux « présents d’accueil », ce qui devient extrêmement rare. Nous avons logé dans la chambre la plus au nord : literie PARFAITE ! (Ce qui devient, aussi, très rare). De plus l’emplacement est idéal pour visiter Madère et les couchers de soleil de début mai (Bon, seulement 5 sur dix soirées à cause du temps curieux) furent magnifiques ! L’aménagement (chambre + dressing + salle de bain) est également parfaitement bien pensé. Le « salon d’hiver » qui permet de prendre le petit-déjeuner et le diner en surplomb de la mer et au chaud est aussi un plus. Contact et réactivité parfaits de l’hôte, même à 6 heures du matin (tempête et coupure d’électricité) !!!. Bref, un excellent séjour

Nous avons passé une séjour très agréable. Angela est d'une très grande gentillesse, accueillante et disponible. Le logement ne manque de rien, très propre, spacieux, avec une vue sur l'océan magnifique. Nous recommandons vivement.

Super séjour ! Patricia est très réactive, rigoureuse et accueillante, la maison est d'une propreté exemplaire et très agréable à vivre, avec une jolie vue sur l'horizon. Tout ce dont vous pourriez avoir besoin est fourni dans le logement (et même plus). Pour le logement, il vaut mieux avoir une voiture car toutes les routes sont en pente à Madère, mais le calme et le charme de l'endroit valent le coup. La majorité des points d'intérêts de l'île sont accessibles rapidement depuis la maison. Conclusion, je suis ravie et je recommande fortement !

Logement parfait, très spacieux et bien situé, proche de l’aéroport. La vue est magnifique, le linge est propre. Leger bémol il est spécifié dans l’annonce que l’appartement comprend une place de parking, mais elle appartient au voisin. Pour se garer il faut laisser la voiture devant le portail.

We arrived late at night and were unprepared for how beautiful the view from the house was when we woke up! Manny was a super friendly host, waiting patiently for us late at night with a flashlight to guide us to the parking for the house. He even came and helped me back out the car when I was having difficulties! The house itself was super comfortable with everything you need: well-equipped kitchen, fast internet, comfortable beds, and a good temperature. 3 portable heaters were super helpful in cold days. There's a small grocery about 5 minute from the house and some amazing trails right outside the door. Would happily return!

Cette maison est vraiment agréable et très bien entretenue, il y a tout ce qu'il faut pour passer un bon séjour. Elle est proche d'un petit bar avec une poncha excellente et pas chère fait par le propriétaire (quelqu'un de très gentil) et d'une supérette. Odélia qui nous accueille est une personne vraiment très sympathique et de bons conseils. Nous recommandons vivement cette location.

Das Haus liegt sehr schön, etwas abseits dafür aber sehr ruhig mit einem grandiosen Panoramablick ins Tal und bis zum Meer. Wir waren im Mai dort und hatten auf der Dachterasse von 10 Uhr morgens bis 20 Uhr abends Sonne. Die Einrichtung ist geschmackvoll und es ist alles vorhanden was man braucht. Für kühlere Tage gibt es Heizstrahler. Die Vermieterin ist sehr freundlich und hat uns persönlich in Empfang genommen. Während des Aufenthaltes stand sie uns mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Wir haben uns in dem Haus sehr wohl gefühlt und wären gerne länger geblieben.

Wir hatten einen super Aufenthalt und die Lage ist sensationell. Es war alles da was man braucht und uns wurde auch vor Ankunft das Reisebett aufgebaut.

Een prachtige woning en groot genoeg voor 6 personen. Heel erg schoon en goed geoutilleerd. 3 badkamers! Parkeren is wel lastig, maar met de videoinstructie lukt het wel, tenzij je een hele grote auto hebt. We raden dit huis ten zeerste aan als je van een rustige omgeving houdt. Prachtig uitzicht. En een jacuzzi!!!

We enjoyed our stay at the house. Carlos explained us exactly how to arrive, even sent a short video. The communication was simple and reliable. The views from the house are magnificent and it's a perfect place if you want to stay away from hotel areas and touristic crowds . Recommended!
