Monthly Rentals in Calke

This was our second stay at Butterfly Gardens, close to where we lived before we moved to Spain 20 years ago and is very convenient for visiting family and friends. It is a very comfortable 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment close to the National Forest and many beautiful walks. We will certainly return again.

A lovely little cottage. Everything was spot on. Great location.

We had a lovely family break at Caroline’s Lodge. The setting is beautiful and we really enjoyed the access to, otherwise, private land for lovely walks and visiting Staunton Harold courtyard. The lodge itself had everything we needed. It is very comfortable and the kitchen is extremely well equipped with plenty of crockery and utensils for 6 people. Many thanks for the welcome cake and bottle of wine in the fridge they were a lovely touch which we appreciated. We have had family breaks like this over the last three years and Caroline’s place is the best so far. We would love to return.

This is an exceptionally beautiful property in a great location. The bucolic surroundings and friendly locals only added to our experience. The lodging itself is very clean and spacious. I am a stickler for cleanliness and this spotless. Kitchen is fully equipped, bed was comfortable, and everything was functional. It is great having a clothes washer in the unit. A proper farmers’ market was set up in the parking lot of the neighboring building less than 50 yards away on our first morning. Our host, Howard, was informative and respectful. Easy contactless check-in. Highly recommend the Melbourne Inn across the street for a friendly brew and great food.
