Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Calaveras County

Place was great and worked out well for our visit to dodge ridge. Only hiccup was when we got there the house temp was 43 deg and it took a while for it to warm up. On the first night every blanket in house was used to stay warm. Once it was warm it was great though.

We stayed at this incredible spot while getting married in Calaveras Big Trees State Park, and it was absolutely perfect. From the moment we arrived, we felt wrapped in warmth and comfort—this place truly felt like a cozy little haven in the woods. It was spotless, beautifully maintained, and had everything we needed to relax and soak in such a meaningful time in our lives. We couldn’t have asked for a better location to stay during our wedding weekend. It added to the magic of the experience, and we’re so grateful for the peaceful memories we made here. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a serene, beautiful place to stay in the area!

This place wasn’t over stated or understated, it had a very welcoming feel. It had very timely decor and very comfortable for us , as a family of four to stay in. (My young son wasn’t afraid to sleep in the spare bedroom by himself) 😃The cabin had board games, books and the hot tub was a big plus for us. The kitchen was the best equipped kitchen to date for any airbnb I had to stay in. Set up was just like my kitchen at home so it made this home cook very happy because I didn’t have go, “Shoot, I wish I had brought this!” Short drive to Bear Valley for some snow fun. Overall very happy to have picked this cabin for our little family vacation.

A very cute little house with comfortable beds. It was perfect for the four of us. It was nice not to worry about driving anywhere. Close to taste restaurant, the pokerville market, and the fairgrounds for the event. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay.

We had an amazing stay at Yvette's place! The house was spotless, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Yvette was also a fantastic host, always quick to respond and accommodating. We would definitely recommend their place and stay again.

I 100% recommend staying here!! It’s such a beautiful home and area and such a great get away to have!! The home was huge, beautiful, and so comfortable and welcoming. Jessica was very responsive and helpful and we didn’t have troubles reaching out to her!

We spent a few nights at this super house with our family. Felt right at home. One of our favorite rentals. Beautiful surroundings. Great hiking and biking trails. Brad was super kind and responsive. Very impressed with everything and would absolutely return. Cool vibe and gold rush towns around the area too. High recommend.

Very comfortable and quiet property. We booked this property giving Kevin and Teresa only an hour’s notice. They were very pleasant and made sure everything was set for us. Kevin met us and showed us around. The apartment was very warm and cozy. We would highly recommend!!

Very affordable place to stay compared to other bnbs nearby. Not a “cabin” but still had the homey cabin feel. Kitchen and fridge were stocked a little bit. Grocery store nearby. Very easy and flexible check in. Laurie who takes care of the rental for Robert was very nice and friendly and helpful. If you have kids there is a little selection of toys and also a little selection of dvds. Walking distance to the golf course across the street. Overall a very good experience. Would 100% stay there again.

Michele’s place is exactly how it’s described - very clean, easy to find, and had all the amenities. It was a great base for our adventure in Yosemite. She is a great host and provided some amazing recommendations! Thanks for making our stay so comfortable :)

A great small space to have some me time in the woods! Not too secluded but also not too busy. It’s next to a little creek and hiking trail with fun swim spots for hot days! Hosts were super friendly and are nearby at their home down the way. The place was clean, cozy and had a welcoming feel. Would definitely stay here again!

Can’t say enough about our weekend stay at Shaun and Holly’s! They are fabulous hosts and made sure we had everything necessary for a relaxing, fun time. They even had special treats awaiting us since it was our anniversary. Over the top in every way! We will most definitely go back to this little piece of heaven in Sutter Creek!

This little house was perfect! I stayed here for the weekend because my Daughter was getting married close by. It was the perfect place to get some much needed rest after spending a couple of long days getting everything ready. Melissa was great at communicating and gave clear info on checking in and out. Definitely would stay here again!

We had a vacation stay with another family and we both enjoyed Casey's place! It is nestled in the woods and the pine trees all around adds to its serenity feeling. The cabin was spacious, with wooden floor and generous offering of beds, sofas, tables and chairs. The second floor with the tipped ceiling even gave a vibe of the Swiss Chalet which we really loved. We were also offered the opportunity of relaxing in the hot tub which we ended up not using, but the patio itself is already a great bonus, suitable for a tranquil dinner or for just sitting around the fire pit in the evening. The check in/check out instruction was clear and easy to follow and Casey was really responsive to our needs and questions. We recommend this place 5 star!:)

Our stay at Ponderosa Pines was wonderful! The cabin was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed, from a fully stocked kitchen to a relaxing hot tub. The location was perfect for exploring local attractions, and we loved the access to Twain Harte Lake. Overall, a fantastic retreat – we can’t wait to come back!

We loved staying here and would come back as soon as we could. We find many airbnbs do not live up to the quality they advertise. However, this gem is more than worth a stay. We did not leave the area all weekend because we wanted to soak up every minute. The cabin is incredibly clean, well maintained, and as shown in photos. The hosts are extremely responsive and catered to any requests we had immediately. I cannot wait to come back soon and hopefully for longer!

Lovely and excellently equipped chalet very close to the Yosemite. Surrounded by wildlife. We watched deer and wild turkeys. There was a bear on the drive but we were out for the evening when it was spotted The lake is also lovely if you are not always in the national park. Vicki was very responsive and also proactive with info. Groveland itself is very quiet but we enjoyed the Mexican restaurant. Highly recommended all round.

Our family had an amazing time at this cozy cabin in Arnold, CA! The space was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The highlight for us was the game room—our kids couldn’t get enough of the air hockey and pool table, which kept everyone entertained. The location was perfect—near Calaveras Big Trees, 20 min to Bear Valley, also offering a peaceful and scenic escape with use of a private lake for a great summer spot to stay. sharon was responsive and thoughtful, making sure we had everything we needed. If you're looking for a family-friendly retreat with plenty of fun and relaxation, this is the perfect spot. We can’t wait to come back!

This cabin was amazing. My family and I had so much fun there. Unfortunately, there was no snow as we expected, but a 30-minute drive to Bear Valley was not bad to have fun. It ended up being a good thing since we didn't always have to deal with snow. I will come back!

Great place to stay and was as described. Would have been great to use the hot tub, but I guess it is unavailable now. Also, the construction on at the gated community was very inconvenient at times and very long wait times. (This was not the owners fault, but was pretty frustrating) Overall, was a great place and great communication throughout our stay!

I just wanted to say thank you for such a fantastic stay! The cabin was the perfect getaway for our family of 15. There was plenty of space to accommodate everyone comfortably, and it truly felt like a home away from home. The kids especially loved the game room downstairs—it kept them entertained for hours and created so many fun memories. The deck was a beautiful highlight as well—spacious, peaceful, and perfect for enjoying morning coffee or winding down in the evening with family. We really appreciated all the thoughtful touches throughout the cabin and would absolutely love to return in the future. Thanks again for a wonderful experience!
