The flat has everything you need for a comfortable and peaceful break. Very rural and was ideal for visiting the Hay festival. Karen was the perfect host.

Wonderful stay! Pearl and family were friendly and welcoming, she made sure we were settled in and knew were everything was, and offered lots of local knowledge and recommendations. Great facilities just as listed, very comfortable King sized beds and two bathrooms. The garden space is really stunning and tranquil- waking up to the peace and quiet with just birdsong was really special, and great for stargazing at night as there is no light pollution. Lots to see and do locally- we didn’t have time to see and do everything we wanted to so definitely hope to go back again in future as we had such a great time!

We had a wonderful stay at Ian and Christine’s self contained outhouse. The place was very easy to find and we were met upon arrival by both of them. They were warm and friendly from the get go. Their dog Danny was playful and adorable. The place had everything we needed and everything was spotlessly clean. It was incredibly quiet there, so we didn’t hear a peep. We went to Hay on Wye for the festivals which was only a 20mins drive and the Oxford street car park only cost £4 for the entire day. I’d highly recommend this place, especially if you’re visiting Hay or any of the surrounding areas.

My partner and I booked last minute to stay at the hut on the hill and Hannah was extremely helpful and quickly responded to our messages. Situated away from everything, a long steep hill guided us to Hannah's location where we came to a beautiful house surrounded by nature. One of Hannah's cats greeted us, as well as some chooks. We felt right at home! Hannah explained everything and we found the wooden hut on the hill in such a beautiful location, next to woodland with stunning vistas of Herefordshire. The hut itself was lovely and cosy, a fire-pit to warm ourselves in the chilly evenings, easy to use amenities. Waking up to the sound of all the birds for the morning chorus was just the cherry on top of a lovely stay! The simple life really does appeal! If you want an idyllic little hideaway to stay and forget that the rest of the world exists, then the Hut on the Hills is the place to go! Would recommend!
