Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Braga

Large atypical house and true to the photos. 2 night spaces (2 bedrooms in the basement + 3 bedrooms) separated from the rest of the common areas. To be expected with small children but keep calm :) The common areas are large and practical (kitchen, dining room, pool table, reception room) A real Garden of Eden: lots of plants, enclosures with peacocks, chickens, ducks, golden pheasants and others… fed by a nice lady next door. Generous and very responsive host. We were given some vegetables from the farm. Delicious.

Amazing space, I went there with my wife on February 14 (Valentine's Day) Ricardo was careful to leave us the whole environment in refinement for this! Beautiful jacuzzi area, in my opinion it is very well located in the best place to take a few days to relax in full peace! I highly recommend it!!!

Five stars to Casa de Cardido and to Rui and Alexandra for being wonderful hosts. We were a little late checking in, but Rui greeted us with a smile and a very generous tabua of local cheeses and meats. The hosts go above anything expected, with a sound system at the pool, exercise equipment, and fresh bread delivered daily. The house is a traditional Portuguese home - and it feels like a “home” not a rental. We spent two weeks here and it felt like staying with family. I noticed that one review commented on how close the highway is. Please know this is not a problem. You can see the highway when approaching the home from the road, but you cannot hear it and it does not interfere with the experience. This is very high quality stay with caring and involved hosts that will make sure you have all you need. I highly recommend.

A very quiet, rustic and rural setting. Sooooooo peaceful. Fantastic place to escape the city, get some rest and reconnect with nature. The outdoor, wood-heated bath was great, although it did seem a little decadent for just one person. Ideal for a couple. There is a river and Diogo (who is very friendly and very helpful) said he has a canoe. Although it was still quite cool in the mornings (early April), there is a wood-burner and an AC unit that also heats. The driveway is do-able but more for adventurous drivers. The village (Macieira da Maia) is very authentic and it is only about 10-15 min to the beach. Vila do Conde has a beautiful old-town. Many great beaches along the coast. Braga is only about 40 min, Oporto, about 20-30 min by car.

Our stay was absolutely perfect! The view was breathtaking, and the garden was simply beautiful—a peaceful oasis where we could relax and enjoy nature. The house itself was spotless, modern, and incredibly welcoming. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. Our host was the most wonderful and hospitable person we could have asked for. She greeted us with fresh croissants and wine, making us feel truly special. Every morning, she brought us fresh bread, which was such a thoughtful and delightful touch. This place exceeded all our expectations, and we can’t wait to come back. If you’re looking for a perfect getaway with stunning views, exceptional hospitality, and a cozy, modern home, this is the place for you! Highly recommended!

We were a group of 4 adults, a 9 month old baby, a 2 year old, 2 dogs, and the house was perfect for everybody! Great space inside and outside (dogs enjoyed a lot exploring around, very safe), big bedrooms - each one had its own bathroom (they provided a cot for our little one), and a very well equipped kitchen. Isaque and his mom were very responsive, caring and available, made our stay super comfortable, providing some nice little "gifts" and local treats for us to enjoy along the days. We had a lovely and peaceful time. The pool is amazing, it had nice views as well. Not much to do around the area (I'd recommend to take everything you need for the entire stay), just little walks or hiking (you need a car to reach the closest town or the mini market), so if you are looking to spend some days with family, just enjoying nature and away from the every-day-rush, this is your place.

I've stayed in many places around the world, but Conceição has been the best host to date, very friendly and helpful. The house is very well taken care of, and we feel totally welcome.

The pictures honor the apartment as it is exactly what you will get. it’s orientation is perfect once the resting area (room and toilet) is on the west side of the building, while the living area is located in the east part of the building, meaning that one can benefit from the sunrise in the room and sunset in the living room and resulting on a great light inside the house. The kitchen is all equipped, having a dish machine, laundry machine which also dries, all the basics to cook, pans, cutlery, toast machine, a boiler for water and coffee machine. Sousa family provided coffee capsules, tea and sugar as courtesy and a great detail was to provide the basics to cook (sunflower oil, olive oil, peppers, parsley, aluminum foil, salt) which is a nice gesture. the apartment has good finishings, being mostly wood, making the atmosphere warm. Well isolated apartment, had no need of AC which is available. Views, well, the only aspect that pictures do not honor, in loco is much better!

The accomodation is beautiful and Sónia has thought of almost everything to keep a family entertained during their stay. The pool and garden are stunning and definitely deserving of 5 stars! Unfortunately due to the cooler weather we didn't get to use the pool this time but it's beautiful even to look at. Sónia met us when we arrived and showed us around. She gave us some local information, tips on where to eat, shop etc. She was very friendly and helpful. Sónia was also very responsive when we needed to contact her at 9pm on our first night (thanks!). This is a beautiful place to stay.

Accommodation that satisfied us from A to Z, clean, easy to access, tidy and tastefully decorated. Responsive host and full of useful information with different recommended places and a video to make our arrival easy. I recommend this listing and this host without so much as a second thought.

Even though it was raining, it was a wonderful stay. We especially loved the fireplace with a wood lit oven inside the room. It was cosy, the hosts were very nice, and it had plenty of amenities. A great stay even in the rain.

We are very very thankful to Helena and Luis. They are very sweet, helpful and amazingly kind. We felt right at home in this absolute stunning place. It is a bit difficult to find, but Helena was a great help. We LOVED it and enjoyed it to the max! We will be back for sure!

It was a super quiet stay. It is a perfect place to disconnect. Everything was perfect and very neat. The house is beautiful and is decorated just like the environment. Nature surrounds us. The materials of the house are pure and in symbiosis with nature. Host Cheila is a sweetheart. We love everything: the house, the jacuzzi, the horses, the birds. Cheila was super friendly and proactive with our Booking. I recommend it without hesitation. Thank you ❤️

An ideal place for family vacations. Our 3 year old son was delighted with the casita and the animals, I didn't want to say goodbye to them. We'll be back for sure!

When we arrived at the property we immediately felt relaxed and at peace - the view is simply incredible ! The outside terrace is big with beautiful views and plenty of seating, a BBQ, heated lamps etc. Inside is spacious - a good kitchen, a lovely record player, lots of sofas. The location is great - you are so close to so many amazing outdoor activities - we really enjoyed exploring the rivers, mountain walks and the Lagoons ! Many thanks !

We stayed in the wooden house, which was very well equipped. The space is ideal for two people. The surroundings are super relaxing and very green. Brenda is a very kind host and has given us lots of tips for places to visit. The only thing less good was that we would go with little time and not enjoy the space and the environment anymore:) We would definitely like to come!!! We wish Brenda and her family every success.
