Small and cosy but perfect for a short stay for a solo traveler. Great views of Blencathara. 5 miles to Keswick along good and relatively flat paths, along the river. Only about 1 mile from Threlkeld. Easy access to Hellvelyen range too. Steep ladder to bedroom. Has all the basics.

One of our favourite stays with Airbnb. Rob was a very accommodating host even before we had checked in. The location is a fantastic stay - offering both privacy/seclusion and all the amenities for a comfortable getaway. Thank you for having us!

We stayed here for a peaceful long weekend in the lakes. The hut was perfectly located - about 20 mins from Keswick and close to loads of great hikes + a fun activity centre. It was so cosy and warm and had all the amenities you needed i.e. pots, pans etc. The garden and views were amazing and it felt nice and private. The only thing to note is that it’s down a long farm track and so a car is definitely needed. Betsy was really responsive and friendly and would highly recommend to everyone.

The Old Map Shop is a distinctive and quaint property set in a beautiful location. It is smart, compact and tidy with a well equipped kitchen and owners who clearly have a green agenda. There are several lovely walks nearby. The home EV charger was a big bonus for us. Carol was responsive to all queries in a timely manner. Many thanks for letting us stay.
