The standout things for us were the attention to detail in the property, its was so well restored and homely. The views were absolutely stunning across Coniston water from the cottage. Seeing the sun rise from the bedroom or sitting with a tea in the morning is soo peaceful. We took Brompton bikes with us and rode the length of the lake which has really great stops for swimming or just taking in the views of the high fells. Having stayed in a few cottages, Martins is a standout from tbd others in all respects and would highly recommend- thank you Martin 👍

First class accommodation with amazing outlook over Lake Coniston. The cottage was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. Its well located within a 5-10 minute walk of the town depending how fit you are!

We had such a wonderful stay at Lynns, if you are looking for idyllic, peaceful then fell cottage is your place! My family had the relaxing break we were looking for. Have to highlight the location, my husband fell runs and managed to run the old man of Coniston. Also if you’re looking for fab food Sara’s Indian was amazing, breakfast and bluebird cafe was top notch! Thank you Lynn for. Perfect stay!

Had a lovely stay during early May.The house was cosy,clean,warm and in a great location. About 15yds from The Ship pub.There’s very little noise from the pub even though it’s so close(except from one early morning delivery which didn’t last very long). Being right next to the A539 it’s inevitable you will hear some traffic in the mornings but it’s certainly not a game changer.Saying that,the house is wonderfully situated .It’s a 10min stroll into Coniston.There a path directly opposite which leads down to the water.The ‘Old Man’ is directly behind,so very convenient for hikers. The house is well equipped.The kitchen has all the necessary’s.The bedroom is a good size and has plenty of storage space for clothes(and a tv if you fancy a lazy night in). Bathroom again was a really good size with bath and separate shower. It even has blue tooth speakers in the mirror cabinet for a sing a long whilst brushing your teeth. Highly recommended for couples. Not forgetting Alfie the cat!!!
